This was my fifth (or maybe sixth, who can remember) time staying at the Garland and it was perfect as always. The hotel has a really cool retro vibe, excellent staff, and a nice location. For the first time, we stayed in the Portola building, looking toward the hills. The room was very nice and worth the additional (short) walk. I highly recommend this hotel. I come to LA a lot and would not think of staying elsewhere.

Jay was delightful and kind to work with us to enable us check in early. The checkout instructions were clear, straightforward. The apartment is nicely furnished for a very comfortable stay. It is relatively new and kept up well. We enjoyed the public outdoor space in the building. It was lovely to have a parking space in the building.
