The location was perfect for us to see around the city, distance from the train station and meeting points for all tours we booked. We booked two double-bed rooms & they have family rooms too. The breakfast was so great. Sadly, we could have breakfast only 1 day, as we had early morning tours planned. The staff was so helpful.

Hostel Archi Rossi is in Florence’s historic centre just 250 metres from Santa Maria Novella Train Station. It is within easy walking distance of all the main tourist sites, including the Uffizi Gallery and Florence Cathedral. The bathroom and the locker were huge.

Once a 15th-century Franciscan monastery, Chiostro Delle Monache is just outside Volterra's Etruscan walls, next to the Presidio Ospedaliero Santa Maria Maddalena hospital. It offers en suite rooms, 2 free parking areas, and an original period cloister. Absolutely splendid location, with a view of Volterra town. It was even better than we immagined. Old monastery has definitely its spirit. Perfect breakfast in the inner patio. Only walking in the corridors was an experience and then the Volterra town was the highlight. Its approx. 20 min walk to the town gate, or few minutes by car to one of the parking lots around the town.
