Very pretty. Some practical pros: cutlery and crockery. Nice bathroom. Welcoming tray of sweets and crisps. No reception, so keep an eye on your emails or you may not enter the property. It was very quick though. You get to fill in a form and then get a message with a key code for your room. AI here we come 😀

Comfortable, clean, warm (it was chilly weather) and well located. BUT, ver this walls and felt like we were in the bathroom with our neighbour who was in there most of the night, or so it felt.

Lovely country town, everybody helpful and friendly, especially at the hotel. Great little shopping and restaurants, cafes, etc. Beautiful scenery and surrounding areas. unfortunately we didn't have time to visit any spas, but will definitely go again.
The only downfall was the taxi service, which we had ordered to take us to my daughter's wedding. It didn't turn up, and after many phone calls, finally out hotel manager got one for us. Ditto when we left the reception, didnt show. Worse, was the limo that my son-in-in law had organised to take him and my daughter to their accommodation, didn't show after the reception. So everybody left, and they were left standing. Had to get a friend to come and get them, Spoilt a lovely day for them, as he had planned a romantic surprise. No real apology from the company, just refunded the money.

Daylesford is a Rural Victoria gem, filled with art galleries and great shopping, but most of all an awesome atmosphere where everyone is welcomed. The springs are closeby and wellness spas are abundant, as are a host of other attractions, but you will need transport (car/motorbike) to make the most of it.
The annual Pride ChillOut festival over the long labour day weekend is a must, a weekend filled with a host of events and where all the Daylesford businesses get involved. A truly magical time.

It was easy to spend 3 days in Daylesford visiting galleries, parks and the lake area. The food was excellent at the cafes and restaurants I visited, especially The Farmers Arms Hotel which also had a lovely outdoor area. If you’re into second hand shopping, you must visit the Mill Market and op shops too!

Daylesford is wonderful, I visit a few times a year.
Daylesford is wonderful, I visit a few times a year. Lovely restaurants, cafes, shops, people and a superb calmness that is perfect for the soul on a weekend away.
Farmers Arms pub has a great local feel, raffle on a Friday is fun. Convent for scones is a great experience and history lesson. Plenty more to do, if you so desire... but a chilled weekend with great company is the the way I like to experience Daylesford.
Retreat @ 34a was nestled up the hill away from the road. Upon arrival we opened the door to the warm fire going, music playing softly and a wonderful scent. House was immaculate and interior decoration was absolutely gorgeous. So much art to look at in each room, the most fancy collection of books, exceptional wifi, sound system and tv. A selection of puzzles and games. Heating everywhere. Luxury bath towels. And other touches which we’ll leave for you to experience yourself. Ps. You can go on a bushwalk literally through the back gate!
To be 100% honest I booked this hotel as this was one of the last remaining on bookings.com at the time I needed to secure a room. I’m so grateful for this happy accident as this was the best sleep I’ve had in months. I’ve been raving to my friends about the bed, linen and shower. It was pure luxury. As a self confessed hotel snob, I’m still amazed by how luxurious and comfortable our stay was for such a reasonable price point. Kudos to our hosts, they’ve done a fabulous job of curating a beautifully, well appointed hotel
As long time lovers of Daylesford we can safely say this accommodation has surpassed our expectations in every way.
Every single aspect of this home has been immaculately planned. There’s not a single thing you could want for!
From the tiling to the tea cups every detail has been such a pleasant and luxurious surprise.
Getting to enjoy a girls weekend away with our own bathrooms was such a treat.
We are completely obsessed with this house and can’t wait to return.
Lovely spot on edge of town with paddocks and kangaroos. But only a 2 minute drive from the main street of Daylesford. Lovely garden area and lots of birds. Owners live in adjoining part of cottage and we met them briefly. They were friendly but were respectful of privacy and made us feel very comfortable using table/chairs in garden area. Fire was nice and enjoyed a very comfortable 2 nights.
Loved the luxury of this property, an amazing place to stay. Styled beautifully & warmly welcomed from Adrian. We loved the little extras in our room, the coffee machine & the Molton Brown products in the bathroom we’re a special touch. Breakfast was amazing & delicious.
Adrian & Charles were wonderful hosts & we look forward to our next stay at The Dudley Boutique Hotel.
Really modern and fresh room - it seemed like it had been recently renovated and everything was beautifully done and still kept its charm with the exposed brick wall but with a really modern and clean look. A great location with everything in Daylesford easy to walk around, and good parking meant that it's also easy to get to the surrounds.
We loved the homely feel of the French Cottage. The facilities were well thought out, the house heated and welcoming when we arrived, and the location was great for what we had planned to do.
The hosts were super responsive and provided a great service. I'd definitely book this place again.
The staff were quite friendly and accommodating for my partner and I during our stay. The room was clean and well presented. The beds were made each day and we were provided fresh new towels. Great location as it was a short walk to the heart of Daylesford.
A delightful little cottage. Well appointed and we loved the spa bath. We also liked the two separate lounge areas. The cottage was right in the middle of town and and easy walk to Town Centre. Greatly appreciated the pet friendly option.
Our stay was very pleasant from the moment we got to the property. We walked in and loved the fact our house was nice and warm and the music was on. My kids loved it and want to come back again! The home was also very clean!
Great quiet location, easy parking, close to all conveniences. All the comforts of home. Bed very comfy & warm, nice ensuite with spa. Fully equipped kitchen. Comfortable lounge/dining. Would highly recommend!
The room was value for money. It was clean, close to town centre and quiet. Host made sure that everything important was available. I would go back to Daylesford and stay in this property again in future.
