Very nice house with full facilities where I can cook my dinner. Location is close to Godfrey’s beach. The house is clean and big enough for 2 people. There are living room and bed room in Abbey on church. Wifi also worked well here. I had to take key at Stanley hotel and drive a little bit to Abbey on church.

The town of Stanley is quaint and lovely. The apartment was sparkling clean. The views were amazing. There are several decks and sliding glass doors to look out over the sea. Everything is within walking distance. We were able to walk to the sea to look for the penguins at night and see the wallabies on the streets after sunset. The hotel was enjoyable to sit and have a drink and converse with the people in the town.

Nicely set up for tourists, with a wide range of accommodation options. A good base for exploring The Tarkine Drive (and some short walks along the route). Stanley has specially designed, red-lit platforms for admiring the little penguins coming ashore in the evenings. There is a nice, wind-swept walk around the top of the Nut, which hosts a colony of pademelon.

Penguin viewing, walking the town and enjoying a great coffee at Marley’s and excellent takeaway fish and chips from Hurseys. We arrived at 8 pm on Day 1. Spent Day 2 visiting the Tarkine area then walked around Stanley. Day 3 we enjoyed the Harvest Market - excellent for fresh produce, craft and music.

Accommodation was superb and pub was just across the road. If we had more time, it looks like a lovely little town to walk around.
Definitely take the chair lift instead of walking up the hill. Then you have the energy to walk around the top of The Nut.

Stanley is a beautiful town with lovely houses and places to eat, drink and shop. A trip on the chair lift to the top of The Nut was excellent. Icing on the cake was seeing the little blue o penguins come home after a days’ fishing.

We absolutely loved Stanley!
We absolutely loved Stanley! We enjoyed a beautiful breakfast at Marley's @ Sticks & Stones, Shells & Bones and then caught the chairlift up to the top of the Nut. We loved the sensational views from the summit and did the 45 minute walk around the top. We saw a couple of pademelons too.
At sunset, we went down to the beach to wait for the penguins to come in from the sea. We saw loads of them and they were so cute!
We also had a visit to Highfields House and enjoyed exploring all the rooms in the exquisitely restored mansion and reading up on all the history. There's lots to do in Stanley.
A decent sized apartment with comfortable furnishings. Nicely located for walking into town and up the 'Nut'. We only stayed for one night on our travels around Tasmania but the apartment seemed to have everything that we needed. Stanley itself is a quirky little town with some nice local artisan shops, and you have to try the adjacent 'Angels Share' if you're interested in trying Tasmania craft whisky's and gins, an impressive selection on offer and a knowledgeable owner.
The best accommodation we had in Tasmania in 4 weeks.
So big and clean, furnished with taste and style.
The view onto the Nut was just amazing at any time of the day or at night. The beach is just a short walk away.
Andrea and Daniel are ☆☆☆☆☆ hosts.
They had put a bottle of wine and some Tim Tams on the table to welcome us.
They asked if everything was ok for us and answered one of our questions in a very short time.
Thx a lot for having us as your guests.
We loved everything about the Inlet! We stayed in the Oystercatcher and it was incredibly well thought out with amazing attention to detail, and included everything that we needed to make it a very comfortable stay. We really appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine and cheese too - what a lovely gesture and great way to enjoy the view. We would have definitely stayed longer as it's in a great spot to explore Stanley and the north-west.
I loved this place! We didnt know what to expect from Stanley, but this hotel made it one of our fav stops in Tassie. The building and the gardens are magnificent. The room was large and fitting with brand new appliances. The communal dinning/ lounge room has everything you could need, including a lux coffee machine. We would of loved to have more time just hanging around the hotel, but there was so much to do in Stanley and the surrounds.
Stanley was a real surprise to us, with its beautifully painted houses and shops, and a good selection of cafes and hotels. Our character cottage was smack bang in the middle of of it all, and had absolutely everything we needed, along with a generously stocked fridge. The cafe and quality gift shop were top notch, as was our host, Chris.
Fantastic location in the main street across the road from the hotel and easy walk to the main seafood restaurant. Also a 5 minute walk to the chairlift/path to take you to the top of the Nut.
Older cottage but homely and comfortable for our two night stay.
The location is stunning, with incredible views over Stanley and The Nut. The room was very clean and breakfast provisions were great. We stayed in Cowrie, and it had everything we needed. We loved our stay at Horizon and look forward to returning.
The Ark is an amazing property in a superb position, beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Christer and Rhonda were perfect hosts and made us all a wonderful breakfast. Will definitely be staying there again next time we come to Tasmania.
Stanley Seaview Inn was absolutely fabulous, such a great place to stay - the views from the bar are magnificent, enjoying a lovely afternoon with a few drinks, cheese platter and great conversation we thoroughly enjoyed everything
Tracy from the front desk was so helpful and a pleasure to meet. She ensured our stay was stress free. The room was more than we were expecting and in such a beautiful part of Tasmania. My husband and I will definitely visit again.
I loved absolutely everything about this accommodation from cleanliness, facilities and decor. The owner was very helpful with what to do in the area. This accommodation was the best accommodation during our stay in Tasmania.
Nina made the place feel like a home away from home. It was well set up and very comfortable. We could have stayed there for a week if time permitted. Great location and close to everything in Stanley.
Away from the town the Post Masters Suite has a great old world, yet very modern atmosphere. When you have a clear night the stars are awesome. Even saw some little penguins wandering nearby.
Stanley is a great place to visit and this property (the HALF HOUSE as we were provided) would be a great place for TWO people to stay.
The property is only a short walk from most of Stanley.
Convenient location close to shops and nearby restaurants. Clean, cosy and hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Loved the home made breakfast that was provided.
Very private self contained and beautifully situated to make the most of the incredible views. Easy access to the beach and a few minutes away from Stanley.
