Nice quiet place to visit, lovely park and playground on the foreshore opposite the shops . Not a lot to do in winter apart from some nice walks and drink in the scenery with a glss of wine . A kayak in summer would be great on the lake.

We stayed in the family room as we needed a twin and it was perfect. The bathroom was a little compact but it was spotless and had everything you would need. Comfy bed with a good quality mattress also helped me get a good sleep.

It’s a sweet little town. I’m not big on shopping but the local supermarket is great.
There’s a bakery which is pretty good as well, and a decent pub just down the street.
The lake is so beautiful with some nice drives nearby. And of course the Coorong, it’s spectacular.

I love the lake at sunset, the park is beautiful with great walking paths, the lookout and bush trail is a lovely quiet scenic walk. I enjoy the culture of the indigenous people I found them to be very kind and welcoming. The pub was excellent, good prices and friendly staff, great service. The bakery was just OK. One staff member was exceedingly rude and my daughter was denied service with her indigenous boyfriend! This was extremely disappointing in today’s age! Very disappointing indeed! They received service at the petrol station no problems Thankyou Sharheins.

We were there for work so did not do much else but take a walk around town and the lake. The lakeside walk was well maintained and quiet and peaceful. A lovely quiet town. But since I am not into fishing or boating I would probably not stay there for more than a day. The airstrip is perfect and it made our work a pleasure.

Meningie is a wonderful place with friendly people and lots to see and do. Bird life is prolific. The pelicans are a sight to see. The lakes are beautiful and must be kept as fresh water to preserve this age-old environment. The Coorong offers sand dunes and magnificent waterways for lots of water activities - but beware weather changes if on the water.
The view from our waterfront room was amazing. We could lay on the bed and watch the pelicans fly by. The owners made me a barrista coffee, and delivered it to my room, even though the on-site cafe was closed at the time. After a day of exploring the Coorong, mostly in the rain, this was so appreciated. They then served us a lovely home cooked meal in the dining room for a very reasonable price. As it was a cold night we were offered extra blankets which we didn't need. I wanted to stay longer.
Even though out of Meningie it was a nice peaceful location. The whole of the accommodation oozed comfort. It wasn't hard to find and when we arrived the fire was already set for us. A very welcoming place to stay. Would have happily stayed there longer.
Very good accommodation, in fact a complete house with everything you need. Friendly host. We felt welcome and at home. Meningie is a good base for exploring the Coorong. Don't miss the fresh mullet, you can buy at the butcher.
Motel had a nice modern refurbishment when we walked in, looked clean, KB & spa unit at front, road side beside owners residence. Enjoyed our dinner meals in hotel up the street. Staff very nice, congratulated the chef.
Spacious room with 2 beds; room happened to be set back from road (don't like traffic noise); glad no one had TV on since I'm sure we'd have heard that too. Right next to Meningie parkrun for Saturdays!
Great quiet location over looking the Coorong, easy drive from Adelaide. Rare to find 4 bedroom place with en-suite in each room great for a bigger group. Short drive to Meningie if you need anything
Close to the lake and right on the road into Meningie. The proprietor phoned to check that we were ok as we were late arriving on a wet night.
Dinner was cooked for us and delivered to our room.
The owner is very friendly and accommodating, we arrived very late but she organized a very easy way for us to get the key.
Great view from the motel, and the sunset was breathtaking.
