Hotel Vera Ballarat, hotel in Ballarat

Located in Ballarat, a 13-minute walk from Ballarat Train Station, Hotel Vera Ballarat has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

The excellent restoration of this magnificent Victorian building shows how clever and considerate are the owners. They have incorporated luxury comfort without losing the features of the building, and the modern extension to the property blends seamlessly. Throughout the place are cosy reading nooks and a marvellous and eclectic selection of fabulous books, art and memorabilia, placed always to enhance the sense of design. The owners are warm and friendly and add to the overall sense of welcome and serenity. The weekend continental breakfast was excellent. Overall we felt a sense of calm in this lovely place.

I would have liked to have walked in the downtown area but I didn't know how to pay for parking. The main purpose of being in Ballarat was to visit Sovereign Hill which we could have spent so much more time at. This was better than we had expected. Friendly staff, great performances and there was a feeling of going back to different times in history.

Ballarat is a historical gem, it reeks of history everywhere you go and is easy to get around. The restaurants, cafes, pubs and people we met were all great. We have been several times now and we will go back as the region has plenty to offer . If you go in winter, rug up.

I was thrilled that the begonias in the botanic gardens were still in full bloom ( mid April) . I was moved by the exhibit on the Eureka Stockage. I was impressed with the large number of elegant historic buildings in the city.

Cheap, cheerful accommodation. Easy to get to, close to Highway without the noise. Helpful staff, good contact and easy to deal with. Breakfast was great, heaps to eat. Electric blankets work well, heater in room does a great job too. Plenty of cups, plates, Cutlery provided. Toaster, kettle, fridge and microwave all good.

Sovereign Park Motor Inn Beautiful hotel with excellent accommodation, also very clean, its entertainment areas are very good for children and adults. It has a restaurant where all its dishes are delicious. At the same time Hector was very kind to my entire family and made us feel at home. Thanks Hector

The hotel is simply superb in every way and rare to find, from the warm welcome we received, the breakfasts and the hospitality we were shown. The owners have created a paradise in what was just an old building. We would recommend Hotel Vera to anyone travelling to the Ballarat region.

The room was spacious, I liked that it had a separate living area. The hotel team is very friendly and did their best to accommodate for our needs. I like that they stock up the room with breakfast basics every day (bread, cereals, jam, butter, coffee, milk, joice etc.)
