Frankston South Beachside Gem, hotel in Mornington

Frankston South Beachside Gem is located in Frankston South, just a 17-minute walk from Frankston Beach and 1.6 miles from Canadian Bay Beach.

Loved all the little touches that made the property feel so welcoming. It’s a fun, eclectic (yet modern) interior with everything you need to have a fantastic stay, including pantry items like olive oil, spices etc. There were games (both board games and outside options like soccer) available, everything was presented beautifully, it was easy to access the property and the location was great right near the ocean where we went for a walk along the road. Even though it’s near the highway you don’t hear the traffic at all given how far back the property is set on the block which was great. The host was excellent and communicated everything in such a timely manner, everything was lovely and clean, and the amenities like the coffee machine and microwave were a bonus so we could do a nice breakfast for ourselves. Loved our stay!

Beautiful beachside city with top notch eateries, bars, boutiques and great ocean views from the cliff tops. Some lovely old buildings with informative plaques and photos of original stores throughout the Main Street. Loved the jetty and cliff top boardwalk. Disappointed that the museum wasn’t open yet again. Wonderful Wednesday Street market.

Staff lovey. Room good very clean and very comfortable bed. Just didn’t know cars outside door and smoking outside doors which I could smell and people sitting smoking and so incredibly loud and could not sleep.

Shopping area surprised us, great variety of shops, great cafe’s and cloths shopping. We were there for a wedding, explored a little bit and certainly will go back to visit the things we didn’t get time for. Nature walks and gondola ride at Arthur’s Seat are a must.

Very clean rooms and friendly staff - could have done with a small table and extra chair in the room for sitting down - one of us had to sit on the bed to have a cuppa. The food in the bistro was awesome - would thoroughly recommend!! Altogether a great place to stay - will definitely return

Everything. Denise was an exceptional host who provided a spectacular stay. She gave us an option of a few different breakfasts, and even provided afternoon tea each day. The china and glass wear was absolutely stunning, and the whole house felt really comfortable and homey. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, and it was easily walking distance to a great beach. Overall, it was exactly what we were looking for.

It's just a modest motel, as reflected in the price, but the bed was large and firm with crisp clean bedclothes. The ensuite bathroom was very narrow, but adequate. We were pleased to have a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster as well as tea-making ingredients. Easy access to Mornington and the Peninsula.

The place was nice, the location fantastic, the room was big and comfortable, the kids had fun in the spa bath. One thing I'd like to point out are the pillows and beds - they were probably the best I've ever slept on at a hotel. I usually hate hotel pillows but these were real nice.

Very Dirty, toilets horrible, shower leaking smells like mold. It's essentially a run down old house . Unkept gardens . Bed sheets haven't been changed. We didn't even want to sit on the couch. Not worthy of almost $400.00 dollars a night ridiculous. Fridge has mold. Horrible.
