There are so many places to eat!
There are so many places to eat! From sandwich shops, pastry shops, bars and fine dining. There seems to always be something entertaining to do. The city is so beautiful with old world charm. We have been over ten times all seasons. I would caution in the winter months you need the correct clothing.

The city is a tourist trap, narrow, dirty, smelly streets that are hard to walk. It's shocking that there are NO ENGLISH signs anywhere, only French. Most staff and even a tour guides speak terrible English that is impossible to understand. Food is over rated, too salty and pompous.
Very disappointing.

Well, firstly we are not a young couple being in our 80's but fairly fit . Loved Quebec and it was our second visit. The whole atmosphere with the French vibe was beautiful. We ate at small restaurants and tried to stick to French food. It was easy to walk around the city. People were friendly and were especially interested when they learned that we were from New Zealand. Did a tour of the Chateau du Frontenac which I have to say was disappointing. The guide was enchanting and very knowledgeable but the Chateau was less than memorable.

Walking in old quebec city was historically beautiful.
Walking in old quebec city was historically beautiful. Montmorency Falls is of the best attractions including cable car and zip liner. Besides that, aquarium, cruise tour, double decker bus tour, city views from the tower, etc that can be tried.

Quebec city is simply beautiful.
Quebec city is simply beautiful.
It is great to walk around, take photos and enjoy the atmosphere in the streets.
There are beautiful promenades in town and along the river.
There are also excellent museums, good food and great boutique shops.
It is also recommended to take day tours to the surrounding nature and small towns, for example in the Charlevoix area (I took the scenic Charlevoix train).
For specific recommendations: I loved to eat in L'Antiquaire Buffet and enjoyed shopping in Atelier La Pomme.
