Enjoyed Horizon Club very much. The staff there were helpful with bookings, and they cleaned the tables and restocked the foods non-stop to keep the lounge pleasant even though when the lounge was packed. Kitchen staff were replenishing food 15 minutes before closing time so that food never runs out. Chamber staff also cleaned the room well, and turned down with towel change everyday. The concierge was helpful with receiving and storing our boxes and helped with transferring them to our DiDi car.

Sparkling Chinese Metropolis

Shenzhen is considered one of the most successful and prosperous cities in China. It is located in the Guangdong province, along the border with Hong Kong. Although 30 years ago it was a small fishing village, the creation of the first Special Economic Zone transformed the region into a bustling metropolis with almost 15 million people.

Its shiny urban landscape and cultural life include contemporary icons like the Shenzhen Library, the Concert Hall, and the Portofino complex. The districts of Futian, Luohu and Nanshan are packed with modern hotels, including some of the best 4 and 5-star accommodation in Shenzhen.

The city is famous for its amusement parks, including the’Splendid China and China Folk Culture Villages’.     I went to Shenzhen mostly to buy various electronic equipment cheaply and was not disappointed. There are mare shopping malls than you can pole a stick at. I never had time to visit several places I had planned to as there was so much to do.

    Visit the OCT Park on Tuesdays through Sundays for a 7pm show. We ate local fruits and vedgetables from local RenRenLe and Buzzing Hotpot restaurants. It is very easy to get around by Electric BYD taxis. Kids and families must also visit the Window of The World {expensive entry}

    A bit different from other cities in China.

    A bit different from other cities in China. A lot more practical and probably easier to navigate for a foreigner. If you are interested in history and Chinese culture, may be other cities could be better. But if you are mainly for work, Shenzhen is pretty easy to navigate.

    My entire trip to ShenZhen was perfect. I liked everything. First, the zoo was super interactive, my son loved it. I highly recommend it. It's a perfect place for families. It has many attractions, parks and entertainment for children. As for shopping, there are plenty of options. The food is very good. I highly recommend it.

    Did not have time to go around too many places during my stay this time. Futian area where the hotel is was excellent. Local cuisine are always my favorite. Getting AliPay and Wechat pay work is a bit challenge for foreigner like me since we don't have local credit card and cell phone number. Nanto Ancient City is impressive.

    A shopping paradise for electronics products & food. Unfortunately, too many shops selling similar items. Safety access is a great concern in time of emergency. Much improvement is required. Lots of clean cabs everywhere.

    Like so much of China, the apartments and surroundings were spotlessly clean. It has the feel of a hotel, although there is only a reception and the room is cleaned every day. The room was spacious, nice shower and also a small balcony and a washing machine. Nice view of Shenzhen from the 49th floor. Staff helpful and friendly although limited English (bring an App!). Close to shopping areas and restaurants. Good value for money

    Lanerz is a budget business hotel; that it what you will get. I found it very convenient to subways and a vibrant food neighbourhood, as well as any other local amenity you could want. A note: it is located in full-on working class China, the neighbourhood is very much of that character. Which means it's chaotic and overwhelming in the best way! It's exactly what I needed and was perfect for my several stays there.
