There are restraints nearby where you can eat delicious Pinchos, so it was quite easy to get to. It was incredibly quiet from night to morning. Yes, there was no noise at all. I never once felt like I was in an unsafe place.
Next time I'll try taking the bus.

San Sebastian is really a great city for views: you have 2 mountains accessible on foot with great views on the bay (concha), the city and the ocean. There is also nice architecture (Art Nouveau), a great basque history/art museum (San Telmo) and a maritime museum with an aquarium.
And there is a great beach for surfing (Zurriola). So on the boulevards you can see side by side a surfer with surfboard and a very smartly dressed couple walking toward the Kuursaal.

Parks and beaches are beautiful.
Parks and beaches are beautiful. Food at some bars and restaurants is phenomenally good! I didn’t have time to visit museums, but I expect they are up to the quality of other aspects of public life. And people on the street and in the bars seemed to be enjoying themselves a lot. (Although everyone seems to love a holiday weekend.)

The city is pretty and clean.
The city is pretty and clean. The food is excellent and varied leaning heavily to sea food. It is easy enough to walk around, there is taxi service for some of the attractions not downtown e.g. the stadium. Let me say, however, it is not as inexpensive as other places in Spain. Food can be pricey, especially some of the sampling meals in the restaurants. My Spanish is pretty okay, but, believe me Basque is not at all similar, fortunately, most menus, etc. are written in Spanish, French and English as well. The people are friendly and will work with you.

Beautiful city with amazing beaches, charming architecture, tons of amazing spots for pintxos, and a laid-back vibe. Public buses worked fine and there were taxis readily available during the day, but it's small enough to walk almost anywhere.

Loved San Sebastian and will return.
Loved San Sebastian and will return. Apartment was really well placed for the beach - pity we didn't see there was beach chairs till we were packing to leave. Very spacious and airy and good for drying clothes in the little courtyard - could have done with having some info leaflets about SS. We took a boat to the island and the atmosphere there was amazing - I would definitely recommend!
Our stay was for a family birthday celebration with my husband and two adult daughters - the apartment was very comfortable with lots of space, so we had the opportunity to chill out in the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is well equipped for a self catering stay.
We arrived after hours and the communication on how to find the hotel and access the apartment was excellent, very clear and helpful
Superb location right in the heart of old town and on the sea front. Very convenient for bars and restaurants.
Thank you Team SanseBay!
It is literally "Central" room! In the middle of old town square. Room was well designed with its bathroom inside. Nice and cosy. There is no noise issue if you close both windows and make room dark at night by closing the outside shaders. A lot of restaurants just when you get out of the door. I can say it is good for alone or couples for a city exploring tourism.
But not the best place if you come here for swimming, you need to walk 10-12 minutes at least, if you bother this you need to take hotels near by the seaside.
we had a very nice stay at la galleria.
It’s located very close to a dog friendly beach (our dog appreciated this very much after 12 hours in the car)
The staff was very friendly and helpful. we were lucky to get a parking space on the hotel’s premises (they are limited, first come first served) but as it was low season we got lucky!
The room was spotless and spacious with two windows. We have been travelling to Spain for years, and this will be one of our favourite stopovers from now on.
I like several things about this hotel - it exceeded my expectations. It is located in a trendy neighbourhood of San Sebastian - called Gros - full of wonderful restaurants. It is very close to the beach - 2 mins walk. You can reach the old town in a 15 mins walk on the beach promenada. I also liked the coffee / tea facilities on the floor and the free 'fridge' with water and refreshments. Very cool idea. The showet gel / soap / body cream had also a very nice perfume.
The location of this beautiful hotel is fabulous, just a few metres from the promenade and beach and a short walk to the old town. The underground secure parking is excellent and extremely close to the hotel. It is a little expensive though at 29 euros per day . We dropped off our bags at the hotel and the staff explained exactly how to enter the car park. Our room was very comfortable with a beautiful white marble bathroom and excellent shower.
The warm welcome after a long days drive. Andrea was very friendly and helpful. The modern interiors and conveniences in the 2 bedroom apartment.
It was complete incl a dishwasher! The standard room had a beautiful vertical garden and terrace. The location right next to the Bay and Promenade was besutiful. Our 2 night stay in San Sebastian was too short..and the comforts of this hotel wanted us to come back again.
The property was brand new and absolutely spotless. With great shared spaces for relaxing outside of our hotel room. It was located quite conveniently for getting taxis to and from the old town and bus stations.
The staff were also extremely helpful, our room wasn’t quite ready when we arrived so we had a complimentary drink at the bar and Najib in particular was so helpful with local knowledge and tips!
Amazing location, most likely best in San Sebastian. If you have young kids this is the place to be as there is a small amusement park on the back side. The views and setting are stunning. If eating at hotel restaurant reservations are necessary. I was having rental car issues while there and the staff were great about calling the car rental agency and trying to straighten out the issue.
This is a 2 star property, so the front desk not being 24/7 and the lack of services (ie, no bar on site) were expected. My room was great (on par with most four star hotels) and even had a coffee/tea station. Location was great, too! Would definitely consider staying here again next time I am in San Sebastian
Good size room, clean, good breakfast. No issues with parking. Bus stop outside the hotel for the city centre which run every 20 minutes. Great view of the city below. Would stay here again if visiting San Sebastian. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Joseph and Gina treated us like family. Gave amazing recommendations and helped with transportation. It is so close to everything. Short walk to beach and to amazing food. I traveled with my young adult children and this was our favorite stop in Spain.
Very freindly staff. The Hotel is located right in the city center. Just a quick walk and you are in the old town. Very food breakfast with lot of options and live cooking station. Also the service was nice and freindly.
There are almost no hotels in the Old City of San Sebastian and that is exactly where you want to be This is perfectly located. Also, the staff is very friendly and helpful Rooms are well designed and clean.
Beautiful hotel situated in a great location for pintxos bar hopping in Old Town. Our room had an amazing view of the beach. We felt instantly at home the moment we got in. All the staff were great as well!
The breakfast was amazing, the best we have had in over 7 weeks of travel in 4 and 5 star hotels across Spain. Would have eaten at the restaurant at night as well if we hadn’t had other commitments.
The hotel is beautiful and clean and has the perfect location. 10 minute walk to the beach or Old Town. The staff is very helpful and very friendly. Will stay here every time I visit San Sebastián!
We absolutely loved this hotel. The rooms are nice and modern. The spa is really nice. The location is very good, a short walk to the beach and old town. I'll definitely stay again!
Beautiful boutique hotel on the less touristy side of San Sebastián. interesting art throughout and gorgeous vintage furniture. really comfortable bed!
