Quirky Georgian courtyard apartment in the centre of Bath with on-street parking - on "one of the quietest, most beautiful backstreets in the world" (Giles Coren, The Times). Being on the LOWER GROUND FLOOR, it is a little unusual in its layout and while we love the fact it is so quirky - PLEASE DO TAKE THE TIME TO CHECK YOU WOULD BE COMFORTABLE STAYING HERE BEFORE YOU BOOK! Two of the bedrooms are built under the road and would have originally been the coal cellars for the entire house in the 1700s. We’ve lived here and slept in these rooms for nearly twenty years – however for some it might seem a bit strange to sleep in a room with curved walls so we feel we should point this out before you book! PLEASE NOTE: There is only one bathroom with a shower and smaller than average bath. This made be an issue for larger groups. There are quite a few steps to get into the property (around 18). We’ve lived in Bath nearly all our lives – and in fact we lived in Rivers Street for almost twenty years! It’s a quirky apartment but we love its eccentricities and believe that there’s not a better street to be based for exploring Bath. Although you have the whole place to yourself during your stay – we’re not far away (we still live in the centre of town) so we’re available should you need us. While this apartment is in the centre of Bath, it is also just a stone’s throw from the Royal Victoria Park and its botanical gardens and just a short distance to numerous countryside walks and cycling routes. We are also perfectly situated on the Cotswold Way.
