If you are looking for seclusion, this delightful guest wing sits within private grounds of a country house. Surrounded by vast land with variety of wildlife (including birds of prey and notably golden eagles), Glassford House lies on the outskirts of Milngavie town, a walkable distance to town Centre and train station. Eight miles from Glasgow City Centre and under half an hour drive from Glasgow Airport. This is an ideal holiday base offering outdoor activities such as walking, cycling, or golf-ing, whilst still being close to the city of Glasgow. Milngavie is considered by many as a gateway to the Highlands with Loch Lomond and the Trossachs within easy reach. Dis-cover the unknown tales of the seldom seen monster, the area around Loch Ness is also famous for having some of the most spectacular natural scenery in the UK. There are regular trains with journey times to Glasgow City Centre, Glasgow Airport is 40 minutes away and provides regular domestic and international flights. Edinburgh and St Andrews are around 2- hours drive away. West Highland Way - Milngavie The starting line of the West Highland Way, Milngavie town is a key pitstop for the Way that crosses 96 lines
