This traditional Edinburgh tenement was built in 1883 and is a short walk to both Murryfield and Tynecastle stadiums. It is a 10 minute bus or Uber ride to Edinburgh city centre and buses run every 7-10 mins. It’s pretty spacious for a two bedroom flat and has high ceilings and large windows. I have a single and double room so it sleeps 3 comfortably. However with additional sofa bed in the lounge, it can sleep up to 5. Im a huge dog lover, so your (well behaved) pooch is very welcome too! I’m an experience Airbnb super host but fairly new to booking dot com. I’ve loved being able to meet and get to know people from all around the world. I really like to grr get to know my guests so I can make their experience personal to them. If it’s your first time visiting Edinburgh, please let me know and I’ll be very happy to make recommendations. ** Please do be aware this flat is my home which myself, stepdaughter and my Yorkshire Terrier Holly use regularly. There are some of our personal items in the property but they are generally kept out of the way. We’ve found our guests to be incredibly respectful of that and hope it continues :)
I love my guests to feel as though they are staying with a friend or family member and I enjoy adding extra touches here and there to make sure everyone is comfortable. I am not an Airbnb or property investor, the flat is my home but as I am away a lot I rent it out via Airbnb and occasionally booking dot com. I’m a local lassie and always happy to offer a hand with recommendations or travel arrangements, so please do feel free to ask :)
Gorgie is a diverse residential area filled with traditional Edinburgh tenement buildings. There is a large sainsburys, a Lidl and a number of other local stores. Gorgie is home to both Scotland’s oldest distillery, Hearts football stadium and a short walk to Murrayfield rugby stadium. Buses to the city centre come every 5-7 minutes and it’s just a 10 min journey. There’s also a tram stop nearby that goes to and from the city and airport and you can usually get an Uber in 5-10 minutes.
