The hosts could not have been more helpful! Due to a mix-up of dates; they strived to accommodate us. The Shepherd's hut was so cosy. I LOVED the smell from all the gorgeous oak. It was a little bit of an effort to climb onto the bed but wow, it was extremely comfortable. A lovely bed. There's everything you need for two. The finish on everything was beautiful - linen curtains and a lovely little bathroom. It was a lovely, kind and thoughtful touch, to provide some Free from treats (two little chocolate bars and a packet of biscuits) as I'd mentioned my husband (whose birthday it was) is lactose intolerant and I am gluten intolerant. The hub/games area seemed to have lots in though we only stayed so briefly we didn't need it.

Relaxed boutique glamping in a spectacular countryside setting on London’s doorstep. Close to one of the highest points in Surrey, with lovely countryside views and red kites frequently spotted overhead. Shepherd’s huts and bell tents make a cosy base with wood-burners and local goodies. A communal firepit makes the perfect spot for star-gazing and a covered Hub provides for rainy days with plenty of books and games. There’s no TV or WiFi here, the focus is on enjoying nature, with lots to keep children busy and seven acres of meadow to explore. Join hosts Matthew and Moira for on-site activities including Nature Rangers and Bird Box decorating.
We are Matthew and Moira. Following Moira's diagnosis of cancer in 2021, we decided we wanted to live, work, laugh and love together while running a values-based business in nature that makes people feel good and gives a little back. We luckily found a Victorian cottage and its surrounding meadows where we could make our dream come true.
The Greenwich Meridian Walk is 5 minutes away or try the nearby North Downs Way, popular with cyclists and walkers. Several great pubs within 30 minutes’ walking distance including the historic White Bear and Bottley Hill Farm (think toasty log fires and beer gardens). Foodies will also be pleased that there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance or a short drive of the site, including Italian, Indian and French. There are two farm shops within a short drive, or Sainsbury’s is a 35-minute walk for those wanting to do a food shop. We aim to go the extra mile by supplying breakfast or BBQ packs from local farms, (by advance order). There is so much to do in the local area including the British Wildlife Centre, Nonsuch Park, Hever Castle and several National Trust properties including Chartwell and Reigate Hill. The more active among you may enjoy forest laser tag or the enormous outdoor play area at Godstone Farm.
