Just 8 miles from Lincoln, in the pretty village of Dunston, the 17th-century Red Lion inn offers comfortable rooms with attached bathroom with full English breakfasts.

A lovely traditional English inn located in a gorgeous sleepy village with three other pubs and an excellent newsagents plus a Chinese take away (although we didn't use it during our stay).
Excellents hosts who went the extra mile to ensure our stay was perfect.
Excellent value for money. The room was freshly decorated and clean with everything you could wish for.
A really nice place to stay in a beautiful area - Highly recommended.

Metheringham is a very nice small town, with plenty of pubs, restaurants and places to visit. It is very easy and quick to get to other locations in the area and only 20 minutes or so to Lincoln. The town is absolutely ideal for aviation history enthusiasts.

Metheringham is a gem nestled within the Lincolnshire countryside in between Sleaford 12 miles south and Lincoln 10 miles to the north and served by a small train station. It has several very nice eateries including a fantastic Indian restaurant as well as a couple of supermarkets. Metheringham is a nature loving and walkers paradise with easily accessible walking in all directions as well as a beautiful fishing lake. The people are friendly and welcoming. It has everything you could ever wish, for a lovely relaxing break away and a chance to visit the beautiful historic city of Lincoln as well as the surrounding beautiful villages.

The small village of Metheringham appears to have no fewer than 3 fish and chip shops, Chinese take away, Indian restaurant, tea room, and at least 3 pubs serving food. We can recommend Sunday lunch at the White Hart. Add the good-sized co-op, the overall tidiness and the greetings from everyone you pass, and you have an excellent short break countryside destination.

Very easy to traverse a circular walk to take in all the features of the village. Ideal location to reach many of the tourist areas of Lincolnshire. The quantity and quality of food provided at the Lincolnshire Poacher Inn is second to none, but make sure you book in advance so not to miss out!

The village is just a short distance away (walkable) and has everything you would need including lots of pubs, a supermarket, local shops and a petrol station. Food outlets include pub food, pizza parlour, Chinese takeaway, fish & chips and an Indian restaurant.
The pub was good. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was huge: bacon, egg, sausage, tomato, mushrooms and fried bread plus toast and coffee/tea. The bar wasn't open until 4pm during the week but it served reasonably priced drinks and had
entertainment in the evening.
Metheringham is a small village about 10 miles SE of Lincoln and 30-35 miles from the cost. It boasts a few pubs,a fish and chip shop,an Indian and Chinese restaurant,a small supermarket and,in an area where these are not in abundance,a petrol starion.
Everything! Lovely and clean, all linen provided including a tea towel and oven gloves. In the kitchen there was a tray with tea, coffee etc and biscuits which was just a lovely thoughtful touch. It’s a lovely quiet and serene place ideal for fishing as the lakes are well stocked or it’s ideal just for relaxing and metheringham village is only 5min walk away and the city of Lincoln is only 10 miles .
This is great place that is hidden away in the small area of Metheringham. The room was great, very clean and tidy with plenty of parking. The pub/restaurant next door is owned by the same people and had a very friendly atmosphere amongst the owners and everybody staying in the rooms. The food was great and service very efficient.
We loved it and will aim to stay here again if we come back to Lincoln. The first 10 score I've given from c.8 hotels I've stayed at via Booking. Excellent VFM for the quality of room and ensuite, particularly with a delicious breakfast included. Lovely bed and furniture, old beams, v clean and everything in great condition.
The caravan is great rural location, a short walk away from Metheringham.
It’s a small site, with fishing lakes as part of the complex.
The van was nice and clean, with the owner very welcoming.
We were staying here for work, for which it was perfect.
Lovely quiet location with a view over the fishing lake. Nice to have cooking facilities and a lot better than just one room in a hotel. The folder in the caravan had useful information such as train/bus times and local pubs.
The Stables were clean, warm and comfortable. They were well equipped, nicely furnished and all you would need. Also very near to the centre of Metheringham, with local shops, restaurant and take aways. All excellent
