Rooms very clean and more comfortable than expected. Asked for, and got, a nice view. Beds comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Vegetarian version of English breakfast a nice touch. Good to see fruit salad and better bread for breakfast.
Restaurant was fine for evening meal - but perhaps not for a special dinner. Interesting veggie choices. Friendly service.

Really great hosts, they were very welcoming and gracious, and were full of advice and suggestions on what to do and where to go. Dinner was very good, suggest eating in the hotel as the pricing was very good value for an excellent menu. Would definitely stay again!

This is a very basic hotel offering a comfortable bed a reasonable bathroom and little else. We didn’t meet anyone in the hotel. Entrance was via a key box. No food available. The main advantage is that it is in easy walking distance of Exeter airport and we had an early flight. So it met that particular need well and there were no comparable alternatives. Whimple is only a small village but is ideal for exploring south Devon, the village has a main line Railway station with links to Exeter and London, The village pub has a good selection of beers and the food is very good, due to the location, you would need a car to explore this area as there is very little in the way of footpaths in the small country lanes
The breakfast was excellent! The host was very welcoming and a lovely kind person. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable, with tea and coffee included and delicious biscuits. Good location, I would highly recommend this hotel.
