Having recently been on a break where the accommodation was owned by a property company, the host's very personal, flexible approach was a huge improvement to the experience. He offered an early check in and explained how things worked - TV, heating etc and also pointed out where bars, cafes etc were located in Ouseburn which is very up and coming. And he left a physical folder of info which was very welcome .The apartment was immaculate and very comfortable with a wonderful view over the Tyne. It is about a 20 minute walk along the Quayside to the main part of the city which suited us - and meant that it was quiet at night.
