A beautiful little Island just a short ferry trip from Athens with access to other Islands like Hydra.
Lot's of small shops, mini-marts, restaurants etc -plenty of choice to eat out.
Lovely walks - if you hire a car you can visit the main places in a day or two.

Poros is one of the most underrated islands of Greece, indeed. It's very small but beautiful, serene, calm , clean, quite and picturesque. Only 1hr 15minutes ferry travel from Piraeus port of Athens. There are lots of restaurants, caffe, supermarkets, shops. All types of food are available there including Greek food specially. People are welcoming, friendly and very generous. If needed laundry shops are there too. The clock tower is an added area where people can go see the entire island from bird's view. It's not so expensive like Mykonos and Santorini. But one can get the flavours of Santorini or Mykonos there. As a whole it's worth visiting Poros.

Calm, non touristy. Good food.
Calm, non touristy. Good food. Easy to walk or get a cab anywhere. We were off season (late September) and came by ferry for a few days break from Athens but have been before in high season in our yacht and it was good then too. Ate at Dimitris and Apagio Tavern, great meat and fish at the market, good coffee and lunch at clock cafe, good bakery and great ice cream and helpful pharmacy in the square by the meat and fish market.

Poros is an authentic, laidback Greek island, which also happens to be a major stop-off for yacht charters and flotillas. But, if you're not a yachtie, (we're not) they don't spoil the feel too much.
Only a few paces away from the yacht berths, you can find ouzeries where they still give you proper, free mezes with your drink, as you watch the old boys play backgammon and shoot the breeze. Or you can relax in more upmarket, restaurants and bars - but you've come to Greece, be more Greek! If you're in the square boasting Destino's Kafeneion, the locals' bar next door and Pavlou Shop which sells "plumbing fixtures, beach equipment and church supplies" you're in the right place.

Small but such a beautiful island!
Small but such a beautiful island! green and blue combination! Loved our walks down town at night with the great restaurants and the narrow streets up the hill to the tower Clock to watch the sunset.
We got there by car and took the ferry from Galatas (4-5 mins) to get across.
Favorite beach - "Love" Beach!!

Poros island is fabulous, the views are breathtaking and the geographical features are unique with many small bays and pine-trees that reach the coast. It is really near the Peloponnese peninsula and you can have small trips there e.g. going to Epidaurus or Methana. However, the island is small and the beaches are not sandy. It is worth visiting the capital and have lunch at its restaurants. The top restaurant, to my mind, is Poseidon.
It is easy to get around Poros mainly by taxi or by small boats.
Great location opposite the sea. We had a front view room big enough for 3 people. Poros town was a 5 minute drive. To get to beaches around the island u would need some form of transport. Breakfast is not inclusive but the hotels cafe has great selection at good prices. Best part about this property are the lovely people that run it. Amazing service and always with a smile!
I always love to stay here when in Poros because it’s a cozy hotel tucked into the hill and right on the sea which is convenient even for people with mobility issues. The food is mediocre but there are many restaurants not too far away. The property is in a great location with amazing views from every room. And each room has a balcony overlooking the sea.
The beds were comfortable. The breakfasts had a large variety and very good quality. The 2 dinners we had were some of the best meals of our 4 week trip. Good location to take ferry to Hydra. Helpful staff. Wonderful hotel. Poros is a quaint quiet island with nice simple beaches and a nice port with shops and restaurants.
We met with Fotini i who was really friendly. Fotini took us to Camara Suite, showed us around and recommended to us some nice restaurants and beaches to try which we did and we were really pleased with our choice. We highly recommend the Camara Suite on the island of Poros, modern accommodation with a traditional twist.
Perfect location with spectacular view! We really liked our room, it was cosy, quiet, clean and had everything we needed. Host was very friendly and helpful. The view from our room was fantastic!
really nice place to stay if you are exploring Poros or this part of Greece, as access to the island via ferry is very easy.
The place feels very authentic and well looked after. The location is perfect, in the heart of Poros Town, all restaurants are just around the corner from the hotel. The host was super nice and let me have late checkout.
The room was cleaned and refreshed everyday.
Most important thing: the bed was extremely comfy
The location of the apartment was perfect, in a residential area secluded by trees on top of a slight hill but within 2 minutes' walk to the beach and restaurant/hotel area. A bit of a walk from the port - about 30 minutes, but it's only a 5 euro taxi ride if you're not in the mood to walk.
Beautiful small hotel, excellent room with high quality linens. Lovely roof top breakfast area with fabulous breakfast ( I travelled around the islands and this was the very best). The roof top area was a super cocktail bar in the evening with amazing views! Staff were excellent.
Great value right in the heart of Poros town harbor. Room was comfortable and modern. Well appointed with a nice bathroom and terrace. Everything is literally right out your door as is the fast ferry dock. Very friendly staff. Just book it.
Only stayed for a night but this island and hotel were amazing! The pool was so relaxing and beautiful. Each room was clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely and extremely welcoming. Wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend!
Lovely boutique hotel in Poros, the best part of it being its staff. Very kind, responsive and helped me in an emergency situation, for which I am very grateful. highly recommend, would definitely stay again.
Great quiet location set back from the road so its peaceful.Nice garden and apartments.Near a beach and kiosk.15 mins walk to the port.
Ideal for myself.Great value in May.Poros a lovely island to walk round.
I can’t say enough for the location, amenities and staff of the Xenia of Poros. We are xtended our stay by one day because we loved it. I will recommend it to all my family and friends traveling to Greece.
excellent location and very good service, with politeness and willingness to make our stay pleasant. Καλή απόλαυση is a very common wish from people working at this hotel, and from people at Poros island.
An enchanting hideaway in Poros. Spacious rooms, fabulous food and helpful and delightful staff. I arrived in time for Greek night with live music and exceptional food. Will return!!
Everything. Nikis Village was just stunning. Lovely family run hotel- beautiful, generous breakfasts, pool, close to beaches and tavernas. Will be back for sure!
