Frankly, I have never ever stayed in such a beautiful, comfy and tranquil place as Azanti Suites. I was blown away with the whole experience. Room was SUPER clean and beautifully decorated (modern & minimalist, but yet cozy with a luxurious feel). Room and private patio with private pool had a direct view of the sea with its mind-blowing sunsets. The Hotel is located in a VERY tranquil and quiet area next to the sea at 10 minute walking distance of beautiful Megalochori with its excellent restaurants (if not, be mindful when walking to Megalochori at night: take a light, as the traffic is rather heavy and there is minimal space next to the road to walk on). Breakfast was delicious and served beautifully on a large tray every morning at the time I had requested. The Staff was very friendly and gave me top notch service, with a special shout-out to Reinia: Thank you for your kind reception and excellent client services!

Location was amazing, very close to a small traditional town with restaurants and shops. The set-up for the family was great. The jacuzzi was a very nice addition. Beds were very very comfortable. Parking was very useful. The check in was smooth, and they cleaned the room every day with fresh towels and linen. We loved everything about it. Thank you !

Το Μεγάλο Αμπέλι, hotel in Megalochori

Providing a garden, Το Μεγάλο Αμπέλι offers accommodations in Megalochori. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking.

The owner was extremely kind when we had to phone him because we were totally discombobulated after arriving after dark. He had his dad come to meet and guide us to the home. This was an exceptional example of Greek hospitality and much appreciated. After befriending the elder gentleman, he actually gave a personally guided tour of his hometown and bacame a friend of our family. He lives two doors away in this small family-owned (and expanding) block of beautifully crafted homes located on land long owned by the family. This is genuine Greekness. Beautiful.

You would definitely need a car here to be able to visit Oia and Fira easily. Also Kamari was actually our favourite place, had a lovely beach, shops and restaurants. Megalokhori itself is very small village, it’s worth a little stroll down to. Also lovely homemade lemonade served in the little bar there.

Loved Megalochori: little beautiful village with its colorful houses, churches and little back alley streets. It was as if I was walking in a big painting or Theatre set. Met many friendly people; visited cozy restaurants and enjoyed tasty meals. Hope to visit many more times in future!

    The property is absolutely immaculate!!

The property is absolutely immaculate!! Romantic & Relaxaing!! Complimentary breakfast was excellent, too!! Public Transportation not easily accessable - eventhough the bus stop is only a 3 minutes walk. The sidewalk isn't user friendly - very Narrow & lots of outgrown weeds. You can take a bus to Fira from that bus stop - just do it in the morning - at night that area isn't walkable - from Megalochori to Fira is only 1,60 euros. However, from Fira took Uber back to hotel is about 36 Euros! After you arrived Fira bus station, you can take another bus to Oia for another 1,60 euros. We shouldn't have booked a split level room because there's a steep stairs to climb up to your bed :(

Megalochori is just a small village 5 kms south of the city centre Fira. It is less touristic and will suit people seeking for accommodation that is not so busy and hectic. It has some good restaurants and even a winery that sells fantastic red and rosè wine.

The village is very traditional and much less touristy than the other towns. There is a good selection of restaurants (7/8 maybe) and all of them are lovely, only 1 or 2 serve breakfast though. There are some lovely vineyards in the village too, some cooking classes and horse riding excursions. It's a small village so not huge amounts to do so more of a relaxing base from which to explore the Island. There was a small shop although the opening times were sporadic so we stocked up at the larger supermarkets just out of the village. We hired a car to get around and there is free parking in the village, the island is very small so it only takes 40 minutes to get to the other side, I think the local busses call through too although we didn't use these. We went with our 2-year-old who loved the local playground, although there were a lot of cobbles (as with all the villages) which made the buggy difficult.

This town was a great location on the island.

This town was a great location on the island. Not to close to the over touristed towns but easy access to them. The Town has everything you need, good restaurants, wineries and the best bakery in the island.

Private concierge George was a gem, really saves you any misses that might happen with restaurants/attractions. His recommendations were on point! Personal touch from the manager was also appreciated. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was tailored exactly to our wants and needs, since we usually don't eat early we skip breakfast but here we were able to have it in our schedule which was perfect. There was some privacy here, which seems quite rare in other locations on Santorini. The view was stunning!

We had a fantastic honeymoon at Villa Orpheus and our host, Valentini, could not have been more friendly and accommodating. The villa is in a great position on Santorini in a lovely quiet village with beautiful views from the upper balcony. There is also a private courtyard downstairs where we often had breakfast and it was great to have the plunge pool to cool off later in the day. The villa is stylish and clean with everything you could need including AC and was regularly cleaned throughout our stay.

We stayed at the Stone House. Simply magnificent. From the beauty to the hospitality of the staff. Lots of privacy, silence, a beautiful pool and hot water from all the taps and especially a big and very comfortable bed. All in very good taste. It's even better than the pictures in the ad look. I recommend it to everyone who wants a different view of Santorini, more charming and less commercial than Fira and Oya, but much more authentic. A hidden gem.

Maritina and her family are the perfect people to run a hotel. They are very kind, welcoming and perfect hosts. The whole family helps and organizes everything if you wish so. The hotel is very tidy and the cleaning lady is also very nice. The rooms are satisfying. The restaurants in Megalochori are very yummy and you get traditional Greek food served in family taverns. Long story short: perfect accomodation for your stay on Santorini.

This is in the heart of a lovely village. Christina greeted us at the bakery after arranging our transfer and sharing recommendations with us. The suite was everything we’d hoped for, and more, especially when we got the beautiful, fresh crate delivered for breakfast! Walking distance to perfect wineries, bakery/market, restaurant, churches, shopping… and a good base to explore all the wonder of Santorini!

We stayed for one night after flying to Santorini, before we took the ferry to another island. The staff were really helpful and friendly, especially Victoria on reception. The hotel is nice but a little remote if you were staying for longer (unless you had a car), but for one night it was perfect - we walked down to the local taverna for our first authentic Greek meal of the holiday which was delicious.

Elements Suites are beautifully decorated. Its more like a villa, mine was Water, a 2 storey Villa with a bedroom upstairs and 2 singles downstairs. Kitchen was nice with a Nespreso machine and kettle. Separate Lounge had a smart TV. Nice quiet area of Santorini short 5 min walk to bus stop and a great bakery not too far as well at the same spot as the bus stop.

The hotel room was amazing, clean, and well-designed. Incredible view from the private pool. Everything was brand new.
