This hotel is amazing! Original 1950s charm, right down to a working working old-fashioned telephone booth inside. The lobby is beautiful with wood and green tones. The breakfast space is perfect; a veranda-type setup that feels half inside/half outside, fitting for either a sunny day or inclement weather. The included breakfast itself is a great value for the price of the room; you can have either the typical Italian "colazione" of your choice of cafe/cornetto/succo (coffee/pastry/juice), or also a more "northern European" style of eggs, cheese and a selection of meats (or both!). I was there for personal reasons but also worked a bit and the WiFi was great. The rooms are charming; not huge but with everything you need. The courtyard view of palm trees and the roofs of Lipari was a plus. Highly recommended!

We visited in May and the weather was vey pleasant, not too hot and good for visiting attractions and hiking. I really liked this island. It was relaxing but there were also attractions to visit both on Lipari and the surrounding islands. Lots of restaurants in Lipari town centre and easy to walk around. Lipari is easy to get to for the main land and we travelled via fast ferry from Milazzo.

Claudio and his family are very nice and go out of their way to make sure guests are pleased. Claudio knows the island and dropped us off at the start point for our walks ... we always felt very secure. The island too is full of friendly sociable people!

A beautiful place to stay.
A beautiful place to stay. Easy to navigate, great waterfront access, excellent transport. Plenty of local eateries ranging from takeaway to sit down dining. The room I stayed in was fantastic. Would stay again and extend my visit plenty more to see and do.

The island of Lipari is the perfect location if you are looking to escape the mainland. Relaxing, refreshing, rejuvenating. Be sure to rent a scooter to make your trip more convenient. I recommend to travel around the island after the beach for sunset, it takes about 1 hour to do the whole loop.

Great views from various places on the island.
Great views from various places on the island. The beaches are really nice and the water is crystal clear. You need a car although there seems to be some public transport/buses, too. A place to visit is the old town of Lipari. There are many good restaurants in lively Canneto or Lipari. You may want to go to Acquacalda if you prefer a quieter environment.
A seaside accomodation venue in Lipari. So much potential. We were upgraded which was very nice. The rooms are freshly painted, but poor energy from facilities staff and noticeable dysfunction between areas is off putting. You can tell that while the hotel has had its hey day, the vibe is off now. Investment in customer service training and some core upgrades to the property would make this place a go to venue. The cost of the stay is totally
overpriced for the experience of Hotel Carcaso.
The best place EVER: location is stunning, you are surrounded by the friendliest and funniest animals, the open space outside of the room is endless and the views over Panarea, Stromboli and Lipari town gorgeous! Most importantly, Luigi and Stefania are incredible hosts, and we really mean it! Always available for the tiniest thing, always kind with food, stories of the island, indications and friendly moments: Luigi and Stefania are always thereto make your day special!
The hotel is a little outside Lipari town but it's an easy walk and there is also the option of a regular free shuttle bus that you can sign up for, they also picked us up from the port. The rooms were spacious with good aircon and beds comfortable. The pool was fantastic and not too busy even in July. The staff at the desk and at breakfast were super helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a good selection of pastries, fruit, yoghurt etc. Totally recommended.
The front desk staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. They were as helpful/efficient as a 5 star concierge.
Room size (garden suite) was excellent for our family- adult sleeping area was separated from children by door- huge plus.
Rooms were cleaned well each day. Poolside food/bar service was very friendly and pleasant but on the slow side. Good value for the amount of food.
Close to port/town.
This hotel seems very new so it was very beautifully put together. The furnishings were very nice and the room was much bigger than most in Italy. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was much bigger than the usual tiny ones that are so typical in Italy. Very good location, near to the shops and pier. I’d highly recommend this hotel!
The hotel offers a lot of facilities: we liked the little access to the sea, the location in Lipari but out of the crowded streets, the free shuttle they offer at arrival/departure, the shower facility that you can use after the checkout. We ate there 1 night and the food was very good. The staff was very kind. We will go back when in Lipari.
One of the best stays, we loved every second of being in this Villa:) Very nice host, the best view from the Villa! The combination of the villa's beauty, the superb location, the excellent amenities, and the outstanding hospitality made our visit to Lipari Island a memorable one. We highly recommend Villa de Milanina!
The room was very large, clean, and the air conditioning worked well. The pool was lovely and the perfect temperature for swimming. Such a lovely retreat since it can get very hot in Lipari (even in June). We also appreciated that the hotel helped us book an excursion prior to arrival with very easy communication.
Everything - wonderful B&B owners who make you feel like at home and have plenty of stories and island information & tips to share, tasty breakfast, stunning garden and b&b setup with calming view, remote location, simple but comfy rooms. This b&b complitely changed our stay at Lipari. We will definitely be back!
Chiara and Davide are wonderful hosts! Their B&B is the perfect place to stay on Lipari. Don‘t miss to try the Pistacchio Croissant for breakfast and never hesitate to ask for recommendations what to do on the island. Thank you very much for the amazing time, Chiara and Davide!
The hotel is like a nice patio inside Lipari town. It's conveniently located, near the city center yet in a quiet neighbourhood. Breakfast was good. We had two adjancent rooms, with a nice terrasse.
Really nice hotel. excellent location. quiet and clean. good wifi. excellent staff and service. English speaking.
the breakfast was full of variety not just coffee and pastry. highly recommend.
I think one of the best hotels I have ever been. Super clean, beautiful and very comfortable. Next time I will be in Lipari I will most definitely stay at Hotel Bouganville.
The location of the hotel is great and stunning and the view on Lipari City great. The Pool area is very nice with also a great view. Breakfast was also good
