It is a beautiful town in rural Puglia, small with a stunning cathedral and ancient castle fort. It also has an interesting monastery and art school. Its history dates back to the 6th C BC . Beautiful for a day stay, lovely at night when most the locals enjoy the many excellent restaurants in the many open spaces.

Lovely quiet town with a charming centro storico.
Lovely quiet town with a charming centro storico. Very friendly, variety of restaurant choices. It's a little cooler and breezier than the coastal towns, which makes it a nice place to cool down in the summer.
There is a castle, nice museums, good shops, and definitely hit up della Corte for a perfect cappuccino, or a nice pranzo.
Public transit is by bus only right now - 15 minutes from Polignano a Mare.
They started upgrading the train tracks in early part of COVID lockdown - locals anticipate it taking years to be active again.
Great people watching at Piazza Castello, and do walk the park at Villa Giuseppe Garibaldi.

Great place if you want an authentic italian town that feels alive & has barely any tourists. Perfect! It had affordable prices in restaurants - actually half of the other more known towns. I really recommend this city if you need a place to eat and are on the way through :)

What I like most about conversano is the culture and the whole atmosphere, everyone knows everyone else, which adds to the Italian town vide. I think it can be overwhelming at first because not many people speak English at all, however, it can make it even more enjoyable to get immersed in the culture, you will have to learn Italian to get by but its part of the fun making a fool of yourself trying to pronounce Italian phrases to order food or ask for directions.
Lovely masseria with a charming host. We were greeted with a snack and two Aperol spritzes! We stayed here for one night after arriving into Bari the same day. It's an easy 1 hour drive at most from the airport. Located in the midst of olive groves, our room was located on the second floor which opened out on a wonderful huge stone patio. It is wonderfully quiet. At night all we could hear was the faint rustle of the olive tree leaves - a beautiful sound. The room was well-appointed with a good bed and nice bathroom.
Excellent location if you look for some peace of mind. Immersed in nature amongst the famous olive trees of the region. Room was spacious, fully equipped and super clean. Very close to the little town of Coversano and close to the breathtaking coastal village of Polignano a Mare. Definitely recommend this property and the owners were extremely friendly also sharing local fruits from their own gardens. Do not miss the top floor terrace overlooking the amazing landscape of fruit and olive trees. Especially at sunset ❤️
The flat is amazing and very spacious. It has fully equipped kitchen. Amazing hospitality, there was water, snacks, coffee, etc
If you prepare small meals like us, there is also olive oil, salt, pepper. Not all other apartments offered such essentials.
Flat is very clean and cozy.
Location is convenient if you are traveling in Puglia by car. There is a private parking that you can lock for the night.
This is the best value place we stayed at during our Puglia trip. Absolutely loved it, 11/10 stars from us :))
It has everything you need. Great location at walking distance from the historic center. 15 minutes by car to Polignano. Free parking outside on the street. It is brand new and well decorated. Super clean. Modern with an Italian style. Comfortable and fine linens and sheets, pillows. Great hosts!!! Gaetano qas super kind giving us all the tips to visit the area, he even made us a small tour of Conversano’s historic center. His wife Adela is also a great SUPERHOST! Wonderful people.
We stayed for 4 nights and our experience was excellent! It could not have been any better 😍 Room was quite big and always clean. Balcony was cool too.
Stefano and Doriana were very friendly, hospitable and always approachable. They knew Puglia so well, both in terms of gastronomy and culture. The breakfasts were incredible, we had the opportunity to taste local food. It was a feast every morning. Also, a nice location to stay if you want to travel around Puglia.
The cleanliness of the hotel, the hospitality of the hotel owners, the delightful breakfasts they prepare for us every day, the charmingly designed rooms – and most importantly, the warmth that makes you feel at home from the very first moment, The hotel owners go above and beyond to ensure your satisfaction, both during the time spent within the hotel and outside . If I were to revisit that region, I wouldn't look for any other alternative; Elementa is the best.
Matteo is a fabulous host. You will want for nothing. The suite is fully stocked, spotlessly clean, and tremendously comfortable. Mateo does more than orient you to the room. He arranges for reservations/needs including dining, activities, transportation. This is our second d stay with Matteo and without doubt we will stay no where else. The suite is centrally located to the Castle, restaurants, bars, administrative buildings, and shops.
From the pictures we thought it's a small house, but it's a new and modern ground floor apartment, with everything we needed, located at 10-15 min walk from center. Appreciated the coffee machine with pods, as we were tired of that Mokka. It was our base to tour Puglia. It's in the middle, so very easy to reach Bari, Lecce, Alberobello or Ostuni. Conversano is a nice town, not very crowded, with great restaurants. Highly recommended.
Extremely nice and welcoming host. One of the most enjoyable experiences in Italy. Very peaceful and beautiful property. It’s relaxing and just what you need after visiting the rest of Puglia. It’s well maintained with lovely gardens and greenery all around. The pool is splendid and the rooms are clean and cosy. The breakfast is amazing with lots of different options and fresh. The service is exceptional.
We stayed here for a week. Located in the central areas of lovely Conversano, the accomodation offers a perfect base for exploring the Puglia region. The accommodation is clean and perfectly quiet during the night despite being located on a busy street. The owner was very attentive and hospitable, offering fresh fruits harvested on the family farm. All in all a very pleasurable experience.
We highly recommend this place for your holiday in puglia. This house is beautiful and modern, very very clean, fantastic location, super comfortable bed, very equipped and easy access for parking. Big thanks goes to the super host, Francesco, for being in contact with us daily, for being very helpful and for recommending very nice places to visit and nice restaurants.
Our stay in Conversano couldn't be better. The B&B is absolutely beautiful, clean, extremely well located and the bed is very comfortable. Breakfast is served at one of the two bars nearby. Conversano is another beautiful town in Puglia. Would definitely come back!
A charming place , spacious and nicely decorated, surrounded by cherry orchards and lovely Puglian countryside feel. Conveniently located to reach all the tourists attractions. breakfast was good , Lucreatzia was making delicious cakes every morning.
this is a very special hotel, where it is different since the hotel is in a very old building. The rooms are nicely renovated our room had very beautiful ceiling. The location could not be better since it’s in the middle of this lovely medieval town.
It was the best B&B that we had for our puglia road trip.
If it’s not on your way, make a slight turn to stop here !
The kindness, smile of Carlo was far above every other Italian puglia people we have met so far.
