Experience luxury in the Japanese countryside at our Togari Onsen, Nagano, Japan retreat. Choose from a 4-bedroom cottage or a pet-friendly 7-bedroom apartment, each for one group only. Enjoy private outdoor dining, Japanese-style baths, and shared amenities like a front desk, lounge, cafe, ski locker, and bicycle storage. 2 minutes from the lifts at Togari Onsen ski resort, it's the ultimate family getaway! Togari Onsen is a great place to spend the winter season. The resort gets tons of fresh snowfall, the views are fantastic, and there are plenty of facilities to make your stay a great one. Japan's first downhill fatbiking park (Yuki Chari Snow Ride) opened here in 2018 and is an exciting alternative to skiing and snowboarding. In summer, we have direct access to the 110km Shinetsu Trail. Our properties all have outdoor dining facilities and we can provide barbecue rental from May to October, as well as guided e-bike and Shugendo experiences. The 7-bedroom apartment is pet-friendly. A few Japanese-owned restaurants, bars and shops dot the bases of the resort (10-minutes walk), as well as two fantastic natural onsen hot springs complete with outside baths. Togari is not nearly as crowded as Hakuba or Nozawa Onsen. For guests looking for a lively nightlife, Togari will probably be a little too quiet; however, unlike other resorts, it is still easy to get a table in the evening. We are happy to give you recommendations. The village shop is ok for the basics, (and run by a charming little old lady!) but you’ll probably want to go into Iiyama proper for a wider selection. Mountainside at Togari Inn is located right in the heart of the resort, just a few steps away from the ski lifts, onsen, village shop and bus stop, and stumbling distance from restaurants and bars.
