Nazca, Peru, a land of mysteries and wonders, left me utterly spellbound. The trifecta of Cahuachi, the Nazca Lines, and Cantalloc made my journey truly unforgettable.
Cahuachi, the ancient ceremonial center, immersed me in the enigmatic world of the Nazca culture. The sight of the towering adobe pyramids and the sacred plazas spoke volumes about their sophisticated civilization.
The Nazca Lines, those intricate geoglyphs etched into the desert floor, were a sight to behold from the scenic flight. The colossal shapes of animals and geometrical figures sparked my imagination, leaving me in awe of the artistic prowess of an ancient civilization.
In Cantalloc, the awe-inspiring underground aqueduct system showcased the ingenious engineering skills of the Nazca people. Venturing into the subterranean channels and witnessing their advanced water management techniques was nothing short of remarkable.
Throughout my stay, the warmth and friendliness of the locals made me feel at home. I savored authentic Peruvian delicacies, including delicious ceviche, which heightened the cultural experience.
Nazca is a place that transcends time and captivates the soul. It offers a unique blend of history, mystery, and culture. If you have a thirst for exploration and a fascination with ancient civilizations, Nazca is a destination that will leave you awestruck and yearning for more.

Went on a Nazca lines flight this morning and it was brilliant, had a great lunch at Nazca Retrobar and a couple of Mojitos, after an afternoon nap, I explored the bustling town of Nazca, saw the markets, shops, parks and had a nice dinner at El Porton. Nice place to spend a couple of days.

Right now, the beginning of March, is the hot season, the days are typically 32/33/35 degrees C, so be prepared for hot days. You'll definitely want a wide-brimmed hat, maybe one with the cover flap that protects the back of your neck, and sunscreen.
Nazca is a nice little town, the streets are generally cleaner than most of the coastal towns I've visited in both Ecuador and Peru. There are a few nice parks, at least 4 coffee shops (one had a broken espresso machine), a couple of minimarkets for groceries (no supermarket though). There is construction happening along the river at this time.
I like Nazca and would definitely return if and when the chance arises.

There's a lot to see in Nazca on the archeological side (the Nasca civilization) but most of it is a few kilometers away. So you need to think of taxis (there are lots and they're not expensive) or tours. Antonini museum is interesting as is the nightly talk in the Planetarium hotel.
Nasca is not a big town but the atmosphere is friendly and I felt safe there.

Yes, taking a flight over the Nasca lines is worth it.
Yes, taking a flight over the Nasca lines is worth it. We had concerns about safety and read quite a bit before we decided who to fly with and our hotel also happened to have links with the company. I now wish we had done the longer trip, but I might have thought otherwise if our flight hadn't haven been very smooth. While the town is no Cusco or Arequippa there's enough to do closeby for a couple of days.
The hotel is conveniently located to a number of transit terminals for private bus companies like Cruz del Sur, Civa and the Peru Hop meeting point. The room itself was fairly large and the beds were comfy. Breakfast was buffet style and was good. For $25 extra we were allowed late check-out and they let us stay until 8pm, in time for our night bus, which was nice of them. Wifi worked well. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Very friendly staff and very clean and nice hotel room. The staff was very helpful with recommendations for our stay in Nazca and arranging trips to various attractions such as the Nazca lines. The breakfast is also excellent! Would definitely recommend a stay at the La Familia Nasca House.
The staff were all so nice, nothing was an issue for them. The planetarium is really cool, they should advertise it more. The pool area was really lovely too, a brilliant place to relax from the Nazca sun. We would definitely recommend it and would be likely to stay in other DM hoteles
The hotel is run by a really lovely family who were very welcoming & kind.
They let us chill by the pool after check out in between our tours.
They also let us stay until late & use the communal shower before we got on a night bus.
The shower in our room had nice warm water.
Great location, super clean and nice hotel! The staff were amazingly nice and very accomodating - you can really tell they take pride in their hotel as the care they show shines through in the cleanliness and high quality upkeep of the property. Would absolutely stay here again!
The staff was really friendly and helpful. They helped us book a flight to see the Nazca lines that was excellent and economical! The location of the hostel was great as it was very central. The shower had hot water. We really enjoyed our stay in Nazca.
The hotel is only 100 meters from the bus stop and people are really nice.
Renzo is really kind and found us a trip over the lines (with Aeronazca) on the day after we arrived, even if it was on the night.
Will recommend !
Nice hotel, great staff, I arrived at 2 AM and reception greeted me and my room was ready, good basic breakfast, they contacted me in advance to offer me Nazca line flights, nice people, good value, hot shower.
Very clean rooms, a great price for what you get. The hotel staff was also very helpful when we had any questions about arranging taxis, etc. We were very satisfied with our stay.
Very confortable hotel near everything in Nasca. the staff was extremely helpful, breakfast was delicious. They also set me up with tours with Julio César who was fantastic
Sarita's place was extraordinarily clean, comfortable, and quiet. It was the perfect place to stay to see the Nasca lines. A great value for a wonderful stay!
The hotel owner is so kind and went above and beyond to make our stay in Nazca comfortable. If you are staying in Nazca, this is the perfect place to stay!
