This accommodation is perfect, too close to all the interesting Porto places. Very easy to achieve all of them, and it is not too close to noisy tourist places. Just an ideal place to stay, the staff was helpful and ready to solve all your issues or answer your questions, it doesn't matter if is it related to this perfect house or just about Porto. When you wake up you can hear birds singing, open the window, and see this green grassplot. Also you can ask for private and best parking place to rent.

We are welcomed by the magnificent stair hall, believed to have been designed by famed Portuguese Architect Januário Godinho. Providing a truly boutique experience, our 8 modern rooms boast a private bathroom with shower, air conditioning, heating, flat screen tv, free WIFI, USB ports and double-glazed window. Some rooms even offer access to a balcony or terrace. Back in 2015, during a weekend getaway, we fell in love with a beautiful old mansion in Porto's Historic City Center. As we strolled by, its enigmatic aura and fantastic location captured our imagination. Little did we know that this weekend trip would change our lives. We embarked on a challenging journey to find the means to make our dream a reality. After Countless sleepless nights and knocking on many doors we could finally start renovation, what we thought would take a couple of months turned into years. We were lucky to meet a talented young architect named Ren Ito, who shared our enthusiasm for the project. With his passion for architecture and a dedicated team, we were able to transform the old ruins into something truly spectacular, restoring the original beauty and charm of the old Merchant's House. Finally, in 2022 we proudly opened the doors of Casa Kala to the world and welcomed our first guests. We are thrilled to welcome you and share our love for Porto.
Nestled among cobblestone streets and magnificent bridges, the city of Porto has its roots on the ancient Roman City of Portus Cale, which was established as an important commercial port next to the Douro River. The City's name evolved from Portus Cale into Portugale, a legacy that lives on in the country's name. Historians suggest that this name may derive from the Greek word Καλλις Kallis, meaning beautiful. Casa Kala is centrally located and very close to main Porto attractions for example Rua Santa Catarina is only 200m away.
