Hotel Roma, hotel in Lisbon

Located in Lisbon's exclusive Alvalade district near many theatres and restaurants, Hotel Roma offers spacious rooms with free Wi-Fi.

The hotel room was comfy and spacious. Had a balcony with furniture outside with the best view of the city. If you're looking for a place to stay away from crowded and noisy Lisbon, this is the place. Quite close to the airport and the city center. The room itself was really clean and they provided free bottled water to drink every day which is not the same in the other two hotels that I stayed in Portugal(Faro and Albufeira).

FAQs about hotels in Lisbon

Food, Fado and Fun in Lisbon

Facing the Tagus River and built on seven hills, charming Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in the world. It offers unique tram rides, intimate Fado performances, great dining venues and much more.

The city is famous for its districts: the Belém's famous monuments; the Alfama's labyrinthine streets, bars and small shops; and the trendy Alcântara's docks. Lisbon’s most popular nightlife and shopping venues are located in Bairro Alto, while the traditional heart of the city beats rhythmically in the Baixa.

Enjoy a walk in the greenery of Jardim Botânico, admire the architecture of the Jerónimos Monastery or explore Feira da Ladra flea market. The Chiado area serves the city's best traditional Portuguese food. No meal is complete without some famous pastéis de nata!

Getting to the city centre is only a metro or bus ride from Lisbon Portela Airport. Whether you want a luxury hotel, a friendly guesthouse or a cosy apartment, Booking.com has plenty of accommodations for your holiday in Lisbon.

I loved Lisbon, there is simply soo much to see, do and experience , the culture and the shopping were great. The Uber and Bolt services were superb. Depending on what you want to see and if you will visit other local areas such as Sintra/Cascais/go across the water to Christo Rai then factor in the length of time for travel and possible queues especially if visiting in summer when very popular and lots of people. I arrived on a Mon and left Fri evening. I saw most of what I wanted to see but there was still more I could have see so it depends on you entirely as an individual and what your interests are.

Lisbon was great, but be very careful upon arrival.

Lisbon was great, but be very careful upon arrival. Avoid at all costs men who approach you at the airport saying they can help you get a taxi. You DO NOT need their help, go with the official licensed people outside. Or call a Bolt. Or be prepared to pay an exorbitant amount for a 10 minute ride.

Lisbon seemed like a really energetic and young spot (in comparison to our time in Terceira, Porto, and Coimbra), even with having so much rich history. There was a ton to do and see! We enjoyed city center (the oldest neighborhood), and like any important cultural space, it attracted many people and parties, so it probably doesn’t offer a clear representation of Portuguese life (because we/other tourists take up a lot of space/resources). We loved doing the touristy stuff honestly - tuktuk tour, kayaking in Sesimbra, sunset cruise, etc. PSA: There’s a ton of construction, so getting rides takes a bit longer, and getting to the airport can be pretty long. The train was great! I wish we had learned the trolley or bus system. They seemed readily available.

Better and more friendly service than I've gotten in most 5 star hotels. Everyone from the front desk, to the bar tender, to the restaurant staff to the room cleaners - All of them were truly exceptional and friendly. The room itself was spacious, clean, and sexy. Bigger than the pictures make it seem. The restaurant food was also great, and make sure you catch a cabaret show while you are here. It is worth the money! Finally, it is located centrally, right next to metros, bars, and restaurants. You won't do better in Lisbon.

Every member of staff treated us so warmly, all so professional and a credit to the hotel. Pool and bar area are as beautiful as the photos show. The cocktails, bar food, and breakfast are as good as any 5 star hotel. Good sized room, balcony, bathroom. Fantastic shower. Thomas the Concierge took extra care of us, and when my sunglasses broke, the handyman repaired them. Any issues were addressed immediately. We watched the supermoon rise over Lisbon from the cosy bar seats. A beautiful place. Love this hotel.

Unbeknownst to us we arrived to Lisbon the same days when the Pope and over 1 million people descended on the city, and the staff of the hotel were extremely helpful in showing us how to navigate the city the best way possible. It helped that the hotel is centrally located to the main places of interest, allowing us to experience this beautiful city. The hotel is impeccably clean, the bed very comfortable , and the pastels de nata at the reception are a “sweet bite” for every time you cross the lobby!

The best boutique hotel we have stayed in so far in Lisbon. Just perfect at a good price. This is the second of the Lisbon Heritage Collection hotels we have stayed in - the other, Janelas Verdes Inn, was almost as good. The location is perfect, great room, beautiful, understated décor, outstanding breakfast and wonderful staff. Fair parking price. Also decent food in the bar. I've run out of superlatives. We have tried maybe a dozen different hotels in Lisbon and this now goes to the top of our list.

This hotel had everything I like: nice, stylish room, super comfy bed, up-to-date bathroom with fabulous shower and plenty of hot water, friendly and helpful staff, best gin and tonics in town at the bar, and marvelous food in the restaurant including one of the best breakfast buffets I’ve ever had. It was worth a lot more than I paid as travel isn’t quite back to normal yet. Also, convenient location to get anywhere in Lisbon. I took the train up the coast several days and it was easy.

Probably the best hotel stay we have ever had. So pretty and plush. Fantastic value for what we paid. They went over and beyond expectations. The food was delicious every morning. And the older gentleman that was in charge of breakfast most mornings, such a great guy. The location in the middle of everything. So walkable and easy to get around. When we visit Lisbon again, we are sure to stay here. This is a Boutique hotel that is well worth it and delivers. Thank you for everything.

Although it was only for one night, it was a very comfortable room and the hotel has the best facilities I've seen in Lisbon so far. The breakfast buffet is top notch and the location is excellent, across from Oriente subway and train stations, next to Vasco da Gama shopping mall. What else could you ask for? This is definitely the place I am choosing for the next visit to Lisbon. I forgot to add that is only two subway stops away from the airport. Very convenient.

Extremally helpful people, we lost our luggage at Lisbon Airport and my husband asked them to follow up the procedure and they did it in a very professional way until we received our luggage. We booked this hotel because it was an easy walk to and from the airport. We left luggage in the room and took the metro into Lisbon. It was easier than lugging it to a hotel closer to where we spent our last evening sightseeing in Portugal. The breakfast was very good-much to choose from.
