Front desk staff was rude. Bedding was stained and ripped and had a smell to it we couldn’t use it. The pillows lost feathers every time you laid your head down and were flat once you laid your head on them, so we had to go out and buy blankets and pillows for our stay, VERY DISAPPOINTING! The toilet wasn’t fixed to the floor and moved every time. All the soaps in the shower were empty as well. Overall one of the worst hotels we’ve stayed in. We will not be using this hotel in the future.

    The city is small but everyone is very friendly and willing to help. Close to Chicago, conveniently located, and easy to take a cab or public transportation. Valparaiso University is in the southern part of the city. It's private. It's great.

    Valparaiso is a friendly, accessible city.

    Valparaiso is a friendly, accessible city. It is easy to get to the Indiana Dunes National Park at the bottom of Lake Michigan. And it has a very good used book shop ten minutes away in nearby Wanatah, Indiana

    Fantastic hotel, and very low priced for the quality of the room and facilities. The pool and hot tub were excellent - easily in the top 10% of hotels I've stayed at. The room was large, well set out, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast had a smallish selection but had all the usual stuff you'd want, plus a waffle-maker! The staff are friendly and efficient, check in and check out were a breeze.
