Hidden away in a residential street, it was very quiet, day and night. Sustainability ethos is evident in the re-use of every day items as lovely decorations. Housekeeping do a great job and it's all very clean. Breakfast room, with additional seating in the outdoor, internal garden was very welcoming. Lots of choices, all very high quality. If you prefer fresh, organic foods you won't be disappointed - breads, cheeses, hams, cereals, fruit, cakes, juices and more. Very relaxing start to the day. Huge credit to the staff - 24 hours. The excellent team were friendly, helpful, happy to guide and advise. Great communication from booking until departure with information on transport, restaurants and anything else we asked about. We had a 3.30am departure and we were offered a breakfast to take away. Transport connectivity is good, bus and trams close by. Walking to the centre of town is achievable. Not complaints, but our observations. Bedroom was quite hot. Floor fan was useful and the the window opened and was protected against insects by a screen. The hand, body, hairwash is lovely and natural. I have some joint difficulties and squeezing the bottles was a little difficult. Little soap bars are available on request. Pillows were too soft but extra were brought immediately on request. We would have preferred a king bed rather than two pushed together. One large duvet rather than two singles. One bed was comfortable the other had a little dip. None of this affected our enjoyment of being there.

- Large beautiful room - Big free parking space - Even though it’s not in the center, there is a tram about 7 min away from the hotel, and it’s quite easy to get to to the city center by it

The room was bigger than I thought. Very comfortable bed, everything was super modern. Loved the USB charging ports. Very close to public transport and it is walkable to the city (though about 30 mins). The room was amazing. The food at the hotel was great too.

Schönbrunn Palace

With 1441 rooms, Schönbrunn Palace was made for sleepovers. Originally intended as a hunting lodge, visitors can revel in the 17th-century luxury of the Habsburg monarchs, to whom the word ‘opulence’ meant very little. The extensive gardens include the fabulous Gloriette (Franz Josef’s breakfast room) and Tiergarten Schönbrunn, the world’s oldest zoo.

The carriage museum and zoo are both worth visiting.

The carriage museum and zoo are both worth visiting. If you have a Vienna City card which allows you to travel on the tram, busses and Ubahn you can get discounts at this and many other places, sometimes as much as 20%

A great old historical house in excellent condition.

A great old historical house in excellent condition. Used in countless movies. The vast grounds are well worth seeing in their own right. The grounds and rear exterior were used as stand-ins for Vienna streets, and the hotel Bond and Miss Milovy stay at in 'The Living Daylights'. I feel the Broccolis liked Vienna!

The evening concert was great, but I suggest you don’t purchase it with the dinner included. Go to dinner on your own. There’s a nice little Italian restaurant across the street that was just delightful…and, please have some of their home made ice cream.

Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna is like stepping into a fairy tale. The building is stunning, and the gardens are like something out of a dream. It's got a really interesting history because it used to be a royal summer home. The tour inside the palace is great, and you can learn all about the people who lived there. Plus, it's in a good location, so you can easily get to other cool stuff in Vienna. The people who work there are friendly and helpful, and they give you a headset so you can explore at your own pace. Basically, if you're in Vienna, you've got to check out Schönbrunn Palace – it's a magical place filled with history and beauty.

We arrived there at 4 o'clock, convinced that everything would be open. But we were wrong. We could only see the state apartments (basically 3 or 4 rooms). I suggest you go earlier to have a proper tour of the palace. however, I think the real beauty of Schönbrunn are the majestic gardens and the Neptune fountain, the Gloriette and (literally) the forest around it.

If you want a guided tour, you should book in advance. We didn't get the tour, but we did the VR experience, which is a well produced show giving the history of the palace and of the Austrian monarchy.
