EasyHotel Cardiff features rooms in Cardiff. This property is set a short distance from attractions such as University of South Wales - Cardiff Campus, Motorpoint Arena Cardiff, and St David's Hall.
Not ideal with those with walking difficulties as steep steps in and exiting the venue house as well as to the fort - though I didn't notice disability access for the house - suggest check with venue
It was amazing. Arrive early at 9am so you can see the entire castle inclusive of the house tour - worth it. Maybe take the free walking tour with Fogo at 11am and have lunch by 1pm at Madame Frommage. Follow this up with an evening of shopping because everything is way cheaper here than in London 😆
The staff at Cardiff castle are poor . You go to one counter to buy a ticket . They don't tell you anything about the castle because they don't know . It took me twenty minutes to find they have recorded guide machines available . But you have to go to the tourist information to get them . CRAZY System . I asked for my money back because the military museum was closed before the end of the day
Thoroughly enjoyed the Regimental museum, walking around and climbing the stairs to the top of the tower, which were very steep and windy for two oldies like us, but it is definitely possible! Wandered the wartime tunnels with the air raids occurring above and sat in the sun in the grounds, watching the world go by.
Well worth paying the entrance fee! The arts and crafts house was absolutely stunning and the tea and welsh cakes were good too! How sad that other visitors left their take away rubbish in the old keep.! Interesting to walk around the old walls used during the war as bomb shelters.
Over priced and not a lot to see, can be done inside a hour. Have to pay extra on top of entrance price to see a few extra rooms. Only recommend if you really want to see it, nicer places to go in Cardiff.
Room was a deluxe double with sofa and was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a snack style bagged affair which under the Covid situation was an excellent substitute. Location faultless as one step outside and you're bang in the middle of Cardiff City Centre over looking the famous Cardiff Arms Park and Cardiff Castle. The hotel has enormous character and is probably one of the oldest in the city. Fantastic place to stay that added to our visit. Staff were great so accommodating. We actually stayed an extra night.
Cardiff
I like the compact size of the room with many things provided, such as TV, little kettle, hair dryer and bath sink! (Was completely surprised when first saw it, but quickly get used to it as it is so convenient.) The bathroom is also spacious and clean. It is only a few minutes to Bute Park and Cardiff Castle, which is certainly convenient!
The room was large for 3 of us and had a proper 3rd bed not a Sofa Bed. Very clean and staff were amazing and very friendly. The food in the Restaurant Pub downstairs was really very good, lot of choice for Vegans and Vegetarians. Location great with parking, only 15 min walk to Cardiff Castle.
The host was really friendly and helpful. The house was really clean snd comfy .Perfect location to visit cardiff castle and town centre and very close to cardiff bay .Lovely market on Sundays right infront of our door .
Cardiff
Excellent location less than 10 min walk from Cardiff Castle. Good breakfast assuming it had to be pre-packed. Clean bathrooms, and plenty of them for a hostel. Staff was friendly and welcoming.
Location was great. Very close to Cardiff Castle and the University to which we were visiting.
Very good location, walking distance from city centre and Cardiff Castle.
Cardiff castle is very restored, as Castle Coch (20 min by bus from Cardiff) and Caerphilly Castle (40 min from Cardiff)
I love going around the Castles in Cardiff, Castle Coch is beautiful and unique in design and location, whilst Cardiff Castle in the centre of the city is truly amazing, with the architecture both interior and exterior breath-taking and brings to life how people lived then.
Cardiff Castle well worth seeing - Victorian Gothic rooms were splendid. Llandaff Cathedral well worth a visit - lovely village setting, interesting art and sculpure, medieval and modern.
Cardiff Castle is a conglomerate of several monuments - the roman portion is under excavation. the castle itself on the motte (hill) was nicely restored, the House, done in gothic fantasy was well restored and over the top with gaudy detail. Didn't go into the clock tower, that too was gaudy. Glad I went, it is a landmark.
