Staff were rude. Casino is boring, very expensive and way too basic. The external of the building is beautiful but the inside is no more than a small room with a few tables and terrible non existent decor. And you have to pay an entry fee - total rip off
VERY snooty entry staff and that is just to get into the 'poker machine' room - like being in a cupboard - few machine, no class or style just same old games and machines nothing magic hear. Best part is standing in the foyer and look up the stairs to where you are not allowed unless you are VERY special - suggest if you are just a normal visitor and not a high stakes roller don't waste time finding this place..
Unbelievable.we tried to go into the Casino at 11am. They said 10euros each cover charge. I said What!!They said if u come back at 3:30pm no cover. I said no thanks don't agree with your tactics.I would have spent 100 euros in there. So we left and they didn't get my Euros.
First thing to do is buy a Day ticket for the ACTV no 1 (Euro 20) and do the Grand Canal, hopping on and off as you fancy, just to get a feel for the place... then target your choice(s)... and sometimes walking is quicker!
Staff is arrogant and it doesn't work like a proper casino... weird place... more like a museum and not a fun place to be... considering that in the past Venice had around 400 casinos... disappointed...
Gentlemen you will need trousers not shorts to get in. Also time your visit after 4:30pm this is cecause before then only ethe a lot machines are operational. After 4:30 the tables open up. Ali be prepared to pay 10 euro to get in
