This is a very dated hotel in the middle of nowhere (close to Mt. Fuji, but nothing else nearby). We stayed in a huge room with 2 bedrooms so it was spacious, but very dated. Thereʻs a golf course nearby so it would be great for a group of golfers. We had the half-board option and the food was good, but not spectacular.

A recently renovated ryokan, Temple Lodging Shukubo Kakurinbo offers accommodation in Minobu. Featuring a garden, the 2-star ryokan has air-conditioned rooms with free Wifi.

It is just amazing, the location, the surroundings, the food, the staff. It felt good for body and soul to be there, peaceful and relaxing. I will certainly come back if I will be in Tokyo again, an oasis of peace not fare from Tokyo. Thanks Junko-san!

The area is secluded (quiet) but can be easily reached via car or bus if commuting. The house is newly renovated and it’s a traditional japanese home. The property is complete with necessities and there is a nearby convenience store in case you forgot any. Our hosts are the best, they are very kind and sweet. We had a great dinner with them and had a good laugh. It was the best stay we ever had!

Everything was amazing!! We checked-in early evening and were welcomed with cold tea and a delicious homemade dessert. The hosts were both very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were perfect as we had an amazing view of Mt. Fuji. They also recommended a delicious restaurant where they dropped us off and picked us up later. They offered breakfast which was the best with a good ambiance music. This is definitely the best place we have stayed in Japan! Thank you for everything!
