Very near Otaru train station, just take 5mins walk. Room is clean and not too small. Staff are nice and helpful. Breakfast is awesome. Overall it’s worth the price.

The location of the hotel was excellent - within walking distance of everything, including the JR station, the canal and major attractions. Otaru is a compact city that's easy to explore on foot, and the hotel's location made it especially convenient to get around, even during snowy or rainy weather. We originally planned to join the Ono Ranger Tour but decided to start exploring on our own a bit earlier in the morning, which ended up fitting our schedule much better. The hotel itself was newly renovated and very clean. While it doesn't have a large public bath, the breakfast was outstanding and became a highlight of out stay. Another special touch was the nostalgic atmosphere created by gas lights and an antique orgel playing music on the top floor during certain hours - it really made the experience memorable. Overall, it was a perfect stay filled with beautiful memories.

Great location near train station, clean and bright room and the breakfast buffet on top floor was I excellent with a mix of Japanese and western foods. The highlight was the onsen (bath) with steam room and ‘cool air’ room. I don’t want to leave! Also, staff were extremely helpful throughout our stay.

The property is very cozy and spacious. Accessible to transportation and there's a supermarket nearby. Some tourist spots are also walkable but you can choose to take a bus. The bus stop is a few steps away from the apartment. Ski resort is about 25mins away by bus.

Kimi-san and Funa-san are incredibly considerate hosts. Staying at their guest house felt more like visiting family than being in a typical accommodation. The location is also very convenient, just a short walk from JR Otaru Station and a bus stop right outside the house. We visited in June, and the house got nice sunlight in the afternoon. It felt warm and comfortable, and it reminded us of our grandparents’ home. It was a really pleasant and relaxing stay.

Close to Minami Otaru station and the attractions such as music box museum, location was very convenient. The room was clean and really spacious. My mom is really picky with hotel/lodging selection, but she was very satisfied with Sakurayuki. And surprisingly affordable.

Good location right across from the station. The sento is really nice! It is also nice there is a taxi pick up right next to the hotel so you do not even have to walk to the nearby Otaru Station to get a taxi if you need it.

This little modern Minshuku (Japanese style inn) was absolutely delightful. Located just 15-16 min walk to the main touristy area, and Otaru station. We stayed in the shared bathroom room which is the original part of the house but very clean and never had any issues with toilet. (lol) We enjoyed the hot bath so much after walking around the snowy town all day. The breakfast was delicious, remind me of my mum’s cooking. We loved it but some people may prefer a room with bathroom.

*The Owner staff was really accommodating and friendly. *They have a free shuttle service from the time of your check in date. The staff will meet you from the Otaru station.Very convenient for new travelers. *The staff also gave me a quick tour of the different Tourist Attractions within the area. The staff even gave me recommendations to what places that I should try to visit. *The Hotel is very near to Mt. Tengu. The location is very accessible for those who want to try the Tengu Ropeway, Ski etc.

The hotel is about 13 minutes walk from the Otaru station, not too far. The price is affordable and not expensive. The room and beds are really comfortable. The staffs are very friendly, helpful, supportive. They allowed me to self check in late at midnight with very detailed instructions and also support me my inquiries a lot! The location was excellent! Walking distance to train station and direct connection to two shopping areas. The hotel is not in the middle of Otaru town so don’t expect to walk out the door and have access to the attractions. Nevertheless, it was not an issue to take a short train ride to Otaru station. Hotel is on a grand scale with large rooms and a huge dining area. The staff was very helpful with a few English speakers.
