I had to extend the trip but also changed the type of beds in the room, due to an additional person joining after initial booking. The person on the phone was able to help me adjust my 2 separate bookings to connect to the same type. Location is convenient. The rooms are very new and clean. Delivery service by the robot is very ingenious as well.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We stayed for 7 nights after we arrived in Tokyo. It's a great base from which to explore: near the metro if you need it, and otherwise walking distance to all the main sights in Shinjuku. It's nice to be somewhere a little more spacious and with a kitchenette and washer dryer. Very friendly at reception, easy check in. Family Mart right underneath, couldn't be more convenient. It's an apartment style hotel so you are provided with all you need to clean up as and when required, this really suited our style.

I really enjoyed my stay at Nippon Seinenkan Hotel. First of all, the reservation team was generous and kind enough to accept a last minute free cancellation for my first night due to an injury I sustained before my arrival. I needed to postpone my flight by one day. Second, they were kind enough to give me a room with a beautiful view as I had requested. The view was of the stadium. I enjoyed my morning coffee looking out the window. The layout of the room was charming and made me feel like home. The hotel has a coin laundry with 6 machines. I never had to wait to do my laundry. All the staff members were friendly and helpful. I had a wonderful time and will stay there again. I also loved the location. The stadium made it feel both iconic and local. Lots of food options and convenience stores. Thank you to everyone at Nippon seinenkan hotel.

Avoid the Nigerian Barkers.

Avoid the Nigerian Barkers. I ended being followed by one constantly at night while exploring. They will touch you meaning they will brush up on you and grab your arm, which is not ok. They like foreign males in particular. I ended telling him I was gay and not interested in his offer of women. They are trying to pull you into their bar to get drugged. Even if the prostitute offer was valid that isn't for me.

I booked a trip here with my family, without knowing it is Shinjukus red-light district. To be honest, it wasn't that bad--you see touts on the street and lots of hosts/hostesses dressed up as boy band members or maids, after a certian time of night, and they're quite proloific in Kabuki-cho, but they never engaged us, nor we them. Hot tip: don't engage them or go into any bars they recommend unless you want $1000 bills on your credit card. My impression is that Tokyo's seedier places are relatively tame in comparison to other countries seedier areas. If anything, the whole place became like a unique spectacle at night for us Europeans. Seeing this side of Japanese culture purely as an observer was intruiging. I wouldn't go around at night with younger teenagers though, as that might feel innapropriate. Older teenagers over 17 will be fine with parents though. I didn't get chance to visit Golden Gai, because the 10-15 foreign touts circling the entrance way put my wife off going in.

Definitely an interesting area for nightlife in Tokyo.

Definitely an interesting area for nightlife in Tokyo. Once you've navigated Shinjuku station, you'll find yourself having to navigate the streets and alleys of Kabukicho. If you want a place to drink, hit up Golden-gai, but be prepared to wait for a seat at the bar or to pay a service charge.

Golden Gai is an eclectic small enclave that houses many cool little bars. Don't be afraid, there is a basic bar charge ranging from 500 yen, its your entrance charge. Drinks are priced with some menu items. My favorite is a photography centric bar called Kodoji. Hands down a very cool place to walk around and learn about japanese culture. The location was central & great for exploring Tokyo - especially for first timers. Despite being in the middle of Kabukicho, the rooms were very quiet. The rooms weren't huge but adequate (from a Tokyo standard), with good sized bathrooms. Staff spoke english & were quite helpful. Water & ice dispenser in basement with vending machines were handy.
