The manager of the lodge was very helpful in many ways--helping to research bus options and arranged a tuktuk to pick me up from bus stop without charge. I also liked the free bike and laundry at the property. Overall it was a very good stay

    Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi (Sinhala: ජය ශ්‍රී මහා බොධිය) is a sacred fig tree in the Mahamewna Gardens, Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. It is said to be the southern branch from the historical Sri Maha Bodhi at Buddha Gaya in India under which Buddha attained Enlightenment. It was planted in 288 BC,and is the oldest living human-planted tree in the world with a known planting date. Today it is one of the most sacred relics of the Buddhists in Sri Lanka and respected by Buddhists all over the world.

    Location is within the walking distance to the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya. Place is really calm yet very relaxing and the owner is really friendly. Place is really clean and comfy too.     A very clean and well maintained place.You can choose the rooms according to the number of your family members. Located in a quiet environment without noise. Eight sacred places (Atamasthana) including Ruwanweli Maha Saya and Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya can be easily reached. There is a kitchen here with facilities to prepare milk alms and other food. There are separate tables and chairs on the balcony for easy dining. The owner is very kind. Charges a fair price. Highly recommend❤️
