Staying in this little hotel in the heart of the Medina of Tangiers was a highlight of our trip which also included southern Portugal and the Algarve, southern Spain and the Costa del Sol! We are so glad we decided to visit Tangier for parts of 2 days and one night! A positive Cultural experience and the warmest hospitality, plus the best food in our whole trip made this so memorable! The Riad was so beautifully decorated with a comfortable bed and modernized bathroom, the lovely young multilingual woman at reception was especially helpful with directions, describing the city and the Medina in particular, plus arranging transportation to the ferry, etc, and the food, prepared right in the hotel was delectable. As there was a big downpour in the evening, we couldn’t eat dinner on the rooftop but the staff set up small tables for two to dine on each of the inner courtyard levels, and served their traditional,delicious foods as a candlelit dinner, even! Tea and cookies on arrival and an excellent traditional breakfast the next morning were served on the terrace. We felt completely safe in this little oasis.

    Small and impressive.

    Small and impressive. One side was an ex jail house, now contemporary art gallery - I saw Cuban modern, really nicely put together, both visually and narrative. The other part is an old palace with historical and archaeological remnants. The whole museum and it’s parts are also architecturally valuable as to their placement in the Kasbah, you can see how all of these structures are around fit together at one point

    Two separate museums next to each other: one about the...

    Two separate museums next to each other: one about the history of the place through the ages, the other showng contemporary art. One admission price covers both. A great view from the terrace nearby, and there's a rooftop cafe across the square from the museum. We enjoyed the Moroccan equivalent of Spanish tapas there.

    Very good location—right in the heart of everything! It’s an easy stroll from the beach or seaport, especially if you’re arriving by ferry from Spain like I did. The Kasbah Museum and Cafe Hafa are just minutes away on foot. The apartment is beautifully adorned with vibrant colors and charming traditional decor, and above all, it was impeccably clean. the bathroom is not very big but it's enough. I would definitely return!

    Sabrina was an amazing host, she did her best to help us solve some unforeseen circumstances. The house is located near the Kasbah Museum, and there's an amazing sunset view of the Atlantic ocean from the rooftop. The bed was comfortable which is a plus point.
