A nice place to stay and a perfect spot to view the lake and go for a walk. Facilities were good and staff were very friendly and helpful with the rest of planning for our trip. Their advice was greatly appreciated and got us out of a tricky spot with getting to the airport in plenty of time. Dining room was very pleasant as were the staff and meals were very nice and well presented.

Set on expansive grounds, Fiordland Hotel is located in Te Anau, 1640 feet from the lake. The town center is a 10-minute walk from the property. There are lake and mountain views from most rooms.

The hotel was at a good location. We wanted to go to fjordland national park and the hotel was at a convinenent location for that.

Room was well appointed for a short stay. Plenty of room with a nice comfy bed. Bathroom was nice. Looked like the room itself had been recently renovated. Staff were nice and check in/check out was nice and easy.
