Midweek the crowds are fewer and you get to enjoy the park. Very glad to see that they are no longer allowing buskers to have amplifiers... a little quieter. We were cancelled on at a different property while driving to San Diego for an 8 day stay! It is close to everything tourists need to do downtown and Balboa Park. I loved the gated entry which helped us feel much safer along with the guaranteed parking spot. This place was essential for our family to have an affordable vacation. The manager welcomed us warmly and we were able to check in a bit early. We felt very safe in the area and had a view and balcony overlooking Balboa Park.
