Located in San Francisco, Columbus Inn is located 984 feet from Lombard Street and 7 minutes’ walk to Fisherman’s Wharf. Guests can enjoy free covered parking at the property. I have stayed in various 3* and 4* hotels in SF and this is the best by far.

another great point to enjoy spectacular views fro san francisco, the staff at the tower is simply super friendly, a bit tricky to get to it by foot though, bring comfortable shoes to walk up the stairs
Nice overview of the city, though quite a bit more commercial than it used to be. The new tower now expects you to pay to get up. If you want to have an overview of the city, there are only a few other alternatives (there are some hotels that offer free entry to the top)
take the elevator to the top, or just view the murals inside. Walk up to the tower on one side and walk down on another to get the best experience of the neighborhoods. It's a great walk from the Ferry Building and then to North Beach.
You will not get much of a view from the tower grounds because of the trees. However, there are some nice views from the nearby streets. Walk around the neighborhood, and don't overlook the stairs leading down toward the Embarcadero.
If you're feeling active find the bottom of the Filbert Street steps and walk up them to the Coit Tower. great views on the way up and good exercise ready for all the amazing food you will eat while in San Francisco!!
The bed was big & comfortable, the shower was great, the staff were wonderful. The room was spotless but that big outside window- showing off the most amazing view ever (Coit Tower and the Bay) so needed a cleaning - understand it’s expensive and risky, but if it had been clean it would have been the best room on the planet
Location, location, location! One block off the water. Pier 39 just a few blocks south & pier 41 one block north. FREE parking! No other hotel offers that! We had a great view of Coit Tower and the city right out our window.
The beautiful view of Coit Tower, the TransAmerica tower, the whole ENTIRE view of the Golden Gate Bridge. My partner enjoyed the view also
A very nice stay. I got a balcony on the 2nd floor with a view of Coit Tower and the full moon. It w really nice.
Head to the Embarcadero rather than Fisherman's Wharf- see Bay Bridge, Ferry Building, Coit Tower
