The location was extremely convenient, as I was walking to various locations. The room was fine, the bathroom rather luxurious. More importantly, I found the staff extremely pleasant and helpful. There was an obnoxious couple arguing with the manager when I checked in, and he was amazingly kind and patient with them. Everyone else at the desk showed kindness and were extremely helpful. This made me feel very welcome and comfortable. Most hotels have impersonal staff, but this place was quite different because the staff was warm and friendly. I will definitely return to this hotel when visiting DC.

Always enjoyed visiting it - it is my third time this time...

Always enjoyed visiting it - it is my third time this time with my wife! Statue itself is very powerful and dominating. The tableaux are worth to read through. The new exhibition area underneath is due to be completed something to get excited to see the next time I visit Washington DC!

The Memorial is under construction so there is a ramp to get...

The Memorial is under construction so there is a ramp to get to the chamber. DO NOT buy food or beverages from the unlicensed vendors. I watch one filling water bottles from the melted ice of his cooler. Their activity is illegal. There are buildings nearby that have licenses to sell have standard health regulations related to storage and preperation.

The staff was lovely. Warm, friendly and helpful. The location is excellent...a few blocks from the Lincoln Memorial end of the national mall, near George Washington University and a number of good places to eat. Easy metro access.

The room was awesome! It was like a small apartment. It was nice to have a kitchenette. The only thing it didn't have was a range. It was very clean and comfortable all the way around. The staff were very friendly and answered any questions we had, helping us with directions and arranging a cab when needed. The location was near GWU, the Lincoln Memorial, and the Washington Monument. It is also close to the Foggy Bottom metro which is a great travel option to save money. I would absolutely recommend State Plaza Hotel!

The River Inn is located in Foggy Bottom, a lovely historical area of Washington DC, which is close to Lincoln memorial (approx 20 minutes walking) and also, close to Foggy Bottom/GWU metro station (approx 7-8 minutes walking). The room was nicely organized, clean and has an extremely useful kitchen with microwave, refrigerator and a stove, as well as some pots, pans, vessel, and if you need any additional, you may ask for the staff. The beds are comfortable. There is a writing desk also.

Excellent, small hotel a couple of blocks from the Lincoln Memorial and on the edge of the GW campus. Not far from the Foggy Bottom Metro station. Very quiet, clean, nice furnishings, great staff, lots of space. We really enjoyed the small kitchen with full size fridge. Huge Whole Foods Market 2 blocks north with lots of food options. Parking was $50 per night in their tiny but secure garage; however, parking overnight anywhere in the district is a nightmare. Highly recommend this hotel.

Location….we used the bike service to every museum, national mall , Arlington and Lincoln memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Property clean. We appreciate the architecture of these era buildings. We were on 11th floor and loved that. Mohammed took care of us in the restaurant!
