Hotels near Wax Museum, San Antonio

The hotel is in the center of San Antonio, right next to the Alamo. It is an historical hotel; the oldest West of the Mississippi. It was well maintained with exceptional architecture and cleanliness. The staff is friendly and very helpful, especially Tim Smith at the front desk. There is a lovely buffet available for lunches and brunches; one needs 2-3 stomachs to try everything. The hotel boasts a pool and a garden that you can sit in to read your paper. What will strike you when you first enter is the lovely scent, which was especially designed for it. The hotel is definitely value for money, and better than most 4-star hotels in New York.

We like the location and the bar. The breakfast was awesome.

Location was amazing! Walk distance to every spot in Riverwalk and just 10min from convention center walking. The room was packed with full kitchen and bed was super comfortable to rest. They offered happy hours in the afternoons and breakfast was tasty and had good variety.

Every thing and every person working there. Wanted top notch place and there are many, but what tipped scales was the whirlpool by swimming pool...quite a nice perk for just showing up w/o appointments...I'm not a spa person, but hot tub by pool was delightful and appreciated. By the way, I came by myself; a woman's/wife's escape; 100% accomplished. But all of the hotel is outstanding! Congratulations to all of you. Isabel Ogden

It was a beautiful property to stay at- very spacey with kids, a great pool, on the Riverwalk, clean and comfortable.

Almost everything!! The only exception was the pool isn’t heated. I thought it was a heated pool. I got in it regardless. Once you got used to it, it wasn’t too bad. My husband would disagree, though! LOL
