Great breakfast, comfy bed. Quiet even though we had the front room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights there.

The extensively-refurbished Bridge House Hotel is set in Grasmere, directly across from St Oswalds Church and the graveyard where William Wordsworth rests. The hotel sits in its own mature grounds, with beautiful views overlooking the River Rothay.

The surrounding National Park offers plenty of scenic routes for walking and cycling, and Ambleside is a 10-minute drive away. Windermere Rail Station is a 5-minute drive from the building. There is free parking and secure bike lock up on site. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast superb and hosts very attentive .they were so helpful and pleasant .it has everything you could want for an enjoyable stay

Ambleside Townhouse offers free car parking and a lock-up area for motorcycles and bicycles. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Excellent location. Was able to purchase early parking and check in. The staff were helpful and welcoming. The hotel was clean, bright, modern and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, fruit juices, fruit, yogurt, granola and cereals and a great selection of cooked breakfast choices.

You can take several nice short walks in the gardens of the property, one leads to the ruins of the Furness Abbey. Make sure that the hotel does not host a wedding during your stay if you want to avoid loud music

There is free parking and spacious rooms with free WiFi and scenic views towards Wansfell. Impeccable staff - the Spanish lady in the reception especially was amazing! Breakfast selection was nice and fresh! Location was close to everything, a Tesco right in front, bike rental shop, cute little stores, etc. Quaint rooms - lovely view of the town! Facilities - the outdoor hot tub was great!
