Great room, comfortable bed. View to ocean and cruise terminal was fantastic. They were kind enough to store our big luggage while we visited Kakadu for a night. Great location as you could walk most places. Breakfast was included and they even packed us a breakfast to go when we left for Kakadu at 6AM.

I enjoyed my stay at The Lost Camel. It’s part of the greater Ayers Rock Resort, and while breakfast isn’t included in the daily rate, I had good meal options at the cafes and eateries nearby. I even treated myself to a buffet dinner at the nearby Sails in the Desert. The room was modern, clean, and comfortable, and I really liked the layout with the sink, shower, and toilet separate from one another. The shower was basically its own little room. All in all, the amenities were very good. I just wish I had made time to use the pool! Also, there are free shuttle services—one to take you to and from the airport as well as one to take you around the resort and its various sites and activities. The hotel is good at keeping you informed of the line up of (free) activities and experiences available at the resort, all of which are a stone’s throw from the hotel or a quick shuttle drive away.

The very comfortable king-sized bed was the best part of our Outback Retreat glamping experience. The view out to the bush from the sizeable deck was also a very relaxing spot to spend time. The grounds, landscaping and general facilities, including the two swimming pools and general store at Cooinda Lodge were all good. So was the pizza we shared at the Barra Bar. The location is also very convenient for taking a Yellow Water Cruise which we would highly recommend doing, especially a sunrise one when the wildlife is waking up. It's magic!

Great location close, but not too close to town. No noise from the road or other rooms. Great to sit on the verander each morning and afternoon soaking up the pleasant surroundings while having a cuppa, wine or beer. Staff and room attendants always responded to our requests with a smile. Overall two family rooms, side by side, great staff, great location, what more could you ask for, for a better weeks holiday.

Excellent caravan park located just outside of Alice Springs. We stayed one night in one of the two-bedroom units on our way back from visiting Uluru. The unit was clean, well appointed and comfortable. The bouncing pillow and waterslide were clear favorites for my 10 and 12 year old girls. If you have children, they will love it here!

The staff was exceptional. They helped us resolve a money problem with our taxi, gave us a beautiful room with kitchen, dining room, bedroom and two bathrooms. Balcony was lovely; would have spent more time there, but the days were REALLY hot and humid. Location was walking distance to the waterfront and CBD.

Convenient location. We stayed in room 105, and it felt very new and nicely designed. AC kept up with the temps while we were there. Parking was close to the room. They had a pool. The onsite kitchen was great. The gas station was right next door. All walkable. Friendly staff. We would stay here again.

Darwin is a great winter get away option during the dry season over June, July and August. You could stay within the city limits if it's just warmth, a swimming pool, urban green spaces, some nice coastal walks and decent food your after. The best thing about Darwin is it is the gateway to some amazing outdoor places to visit that are not far away - Litchfield National Park and Kakadu being top priority. You'll need a hire car to make the most of it although you can take various day and multi day tours from Darwin. It's not a bargain holiday destination but no where is within Australia. Darwin is also the capital of the NT which has amazing diverse landscapes and strong Indigenous cultural presence. There are opportunities to engage with Indigenous tourism activities, especially in Kakadu National Park.

It is a unique and special location ..and a truly beautiful one. It was our first experience of the red centre and I was struck by the beauty of the landscape particularly in the soft light of dawn and sunset and the stillness …and a big night sky I hadn’t ever experienced before. There really is a Milky Way !!

    A fantastic place to visit.

A fantastic place to visit. The rim walk was amazing, although would require a reasonable level of fitness to make the most of it. Highly recommend a helicopter ride if you have the time and budget. We used the company just down the road from the Kings Canyon Resort and they were highly professional. You get a different persepctive from the sky. We arrived on a Sunday in the afternoon which left us enough time to do the short walk along the bottom of the canyon from the visitor car park. We did the rim walk the next day and also visited Kathleen Springs. The next day we did the helicopter ride and then did a short 8 km return section of the Giles walk from the Kathleen Springs end. It helps if you have done some hiking as some of the blazes showing the trail were a little hard to locate in a couple of places. There was a lovely water hole at the end of the walk which made it well worth the effort. Highly recommend visiting. The sunsets are very pretty.

I did not feel safe or comfortable in the centre of town so did not stop there. The Lake Mary Ann picnic area was lovely with many peacocks and geese wandering around. Our main reason for staying in Tennant Creek was to use it as a base to explore the Devils Marbles area which was well worth the 1 hour drive south.

Didn't visit Batchelor itself but Litchfield Tourist Park was well situated for visiting all the amazing natural sites. One road only through park unless you have 4wd vehicle. Some of the pools aren't open all year round due to Croc danger but one's that are open are fantastic for a refreshing dip.

It is pretty close to Uluru which is why we stayed there. The pool looked alright but we didn't have the time to get in really. The food in the restaurant was good. I am not sure, but it seemed the fuel was relatively expensive, so I think next time I might fuel up a bit further away from the Uluru turnoff. Fuel is expensive at Uluru too. The surroundings were peaceful. Rooms were basic and might have easily been more hospitably set up but were clean.

I liked the facilities and friendly service by staff. I would recommend to stock up on citronella candles or insect repellant if you wish to enjoy the outside common areas as mosquitoes are everywhere once dusk is approaching. Overall I would stay at this place again if travelling through to Darwin again and highly recommend to other travellers
