My wife and I and our dog were delighted with our stay at the Finnygook Inn. We spent one night on our hike along the Coastal Path. We arrived in the late afternoon and settled into a clean, tidy, and spacious room with a lovely view of town. The room had a mini fridge, coffee machine, hot water kettle, and the bathroom had a tub. We enjoyed an exceptional, memorable dinner in the Inn's restaurant, where the bar was bustling and the dining room was full, and each dish we ordered was delicious. After a good night's rest, we departed in the morning. We are especially grateful for the chef's generous gifting of a breakfast sausage to our puppy, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, we had a lovely time and would definitely return.

A well presented place with welcoming staff. It was clean & pleasantly decorated. Our room was lovely & really comfortable. Breakfast was great. Most importantly they had a drying room when we turned up soaked after a days walking! I would recommend to anyone as a lovely place to stay whilst walking the South West Coastal Path.

Loved the interesting shops and good selection of cafes, bars, restaurants etc. The fish and chips at Harbour Lights were great and we really enjoyed the tapas restaurant Bodega. Able to explore everything in Falmouth on foot if you are based close enough, parking the car every day can be costly. Enjoyed getting the ferry to explore St Mawes. Josh of Wake & Ski was a great instructor for our teenagers trying water skiing for the first time. The Cornish Seal Sanctuary at Gweek was lovely, and just a half hour drive away. Everybody was very friendly, there's a lovely atmosphere in Falmouth.

The best places to visit were Mevagissey and Charlestown, they both had an old world charm. Fowey was too commercialised and we failed to find somewhere to eat in Looe on Tuesday evening, which was surprising as it looked like a lovely place to spend some time.

Apart from the cathedral there was not much else . We had based ourselves in Truro to visit Tresillik National Trust which in spite of being in great location was rather dissappointing having visited Lanhydrock earlier in the day which was superb. The house in Tressilick was very limited and appeared to be mainly used in lieu of the more usual excellent NT restaurant.

The parking is a bit pricey, crooklets car park £4.60 for 2 hours, tried to book a table at Brandon arms, phoned on Tuesday day time,to book, said for 2 people, said 7 pm was booked, offered 4.45 pm or 8.45,didn't go tried again on Thursday day time same request, told no tables but only at 4.45 or 8.45,what a coincidence I thought, then it clicked,if I ordered a table for 4 or more I would have got a table at 7pm,in my book I call it ,owner being greedy and choosey, manager appeared arrogant and not friendly

Looe has a bustling high street, with lots of shops, cafes, pubs. It is also very attractive with a river flowing through the town. Nice coastal walk from Looe to Polperro, frequent busses back to Looe. Looe beach was sandy and good for swimming, rock-pooling etc. For surfing, Newquay was only 90 drive by car. Boat-trips available from the harbour - we did the 'Big Three' trip on a rib. Interesting, small museum about the history of Looe run by very enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers.

Tintagel is wonderful, and it’s very easy to get around, even when travelling to nearby places such as Boscastle. I visited the Old Post Office, an amazing building that is absolutely worth seeing. And, of course, Tintagel Castle! The walk there is spectacular, and the views from the castle are breathtaking. The castle itself is fantastic, with an incredible atmosphere.
