I loved the bed and the large TV that connects to our phone and Netflix, without the hassle of having to log in or out. The Rooms vibe and design is truly fabulous. The shower has hot towels and plenty of fragrant body wash and shampoo available for guests. The reception area is also very stylish and elevated. The room is clean and cosy! Would definitely recommend!

The location was well placed for us, and it was easy to jump on the main tram. I cannot emphasize this enough. We should have stayed more nights. For the same price as some central accomodations you get to sleep on a boat. Cleanliness was top notch, and everything on the ship was well put together and design wise spoke to each other. Staff was extremely friendly. The breakfast area is beautiful. The bathroom looks amazing. You will not see such tiling in real buildings.

FAQs about hotels in Scotland

A Rugged Jewel

With round-top mountains and green hills extending in almost every direction, and stone houses dotted around, Scotland is a jewel of nature forged by ice, winds and seas over thousands of years. But Scotland is much more than beautiful landscapes: it’s the finest malt whiskies in Moray County, the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, the kilts and the bagpipes, the exciting and modern Glasgow, and much more!

The country can be divided into 3 areas. The Highlands and Islands have mountainous landscapes and numerous bodies of fresh water, including Loch Lomond and Loch Ness, as well as little cities like Inverness and numerous islands like the Isle of Skye. Don’t miss the deals on Booking.com if you’re looking for hotels in the Scottish Highlands.

The Central Lowlands are the most densely inhabited area, and with Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen located in this part of Scotland, 5-star hotels are common here.

The Southern Uplands are composed of a range of hills and valleys stretching almost 200 kilometres, home to several hotels with a spa - a relaxed option to enjoy this area.

As some of the more unusual Scotland hotels, castles can be a particularly good option to enjoy a Scotland holiday in royal style.

Fantastic location. The hotel has the nicest staff and receptionists and they were very attentive. The hotel was outstanding in every way. The place was clean, inviting, and had great service. We had multiple meals and the food itself was pretty good and well-valued. The room was cozy and tastefully furnished. I had a great time during my visit. In the future, I plan to return for a longer stay.

Lovely estate which has beautiful grounds and is very clean. It's a picturesque place to be staying. The villa was lovely and spotless. Great staff at reception and the bistro which had a great choice of menu. Although we didn't use the swimming pool it looked very inviting. We will pack swim wear next time we visit

Great cycling routes around Edinburgh.

Great cycling routes around Edinburgh. Plenty of local history to discover. Museums and Holyrood Palace are worth visiting. Climbing Arthur’s Seat hill area gives a wide view of the city. One grumble, finding the Waverley Railway Station is not easy when we were cycling. Edinburgh City Council need to consider signing the station from different city areas. We asked 7 people to find it.

I liked the most the cleanest in the room . I can not speack about the food quality since it was just one night and I had to leave early in the morning. But the staff positive attitude, cleaners combined with a reasonable price and an excellent location so close to the Glasgow Central train station made it my first choice for a mini holiday when I will visit again Glasgow.

The Maritime Museum good and the art gallery was superb.

The Maritime Museum good and the art gallery was superb. There are a good number of shops, cafes and restaurants. Some of the buildings are fabulous and impossibly ornate. Many of the huge walls have murals and they give the city a personality which stands out from others. There is very little traffic and lots of pedestrian areas. Parking is available close to the centre in appointed car parks but there is limited road parking in the main streets, that makes it more pleasant to walk around. There is a hop on hop off bus which is really excellent.

Interesting town - can walk everywhere, if you're fairly fit - castle at the top of the hill! Shame to see boarded-up places like the Corn Exchange and the first sight of Stirling as you arrive at the station is the overbearing modern shopping centre! Who in the planning department thought that was a good idea? Also feel sorry for the people in the attractive terrace of houses who now have to face a modern large Tesco. Progress? I don't think so!
