Our stay felt like being in a traditional English manor house. The property and the surrounding grounds are absolutely beautiful, and the hotel itself has a wonderful atmosphere. The staff were incredibly polite, friendly, and welcoming. It was a very pleasant and memorable experience.

Staff : Note that our cottage unit was located in a wider "caravan park". Reception service was available and useful. Smooth check in experience. Facilities : Inside, everything was complete and rather new. You will have all you need to enjoy your time there. For kids, there was also small play ground at the park. Hot water running great with good pressure. All top notch. Note that the cottage is located on a step-up hence you will need to take a wide stairs. In our view we were lucky since we got one of the "high" cottage with a wider view of the park. Cleanliness : Clean, and I recognised there was no shortcut taken when clean every inch of the house. Comfort : Bed and the caravan's atmosphere were comfortable and cosy. Value Money : We were travelling during autumn school holiday, and comparing other options around Snowdon, this is considered reasonable. Location : Inside the park and its surrounding - quiet and peaceful. Within Snowdown area, although most things are at least 20-30min away (normal for such a big nature park and area). Hence you must need a car on your own. Others: We are family of 4. Internet was very fast (OK for streaming). We were there exploring Snowdon and its surrounding. Plenty parking spaces. The cottage was 2 storey, hence if you have very small kids, it might not be suitable. Our kids were 4 and 6, they were fine with the steep and small stairs leading to the small 2nd floor.

This hotel is exceptional. The faculties are amazing. There’s a pool, a games room, even a sitting room for the dogs who are staying in the hotel. There was even a harpist entertaining in the evening! The whole place is beautifully decorated and very comfortable, and there are lots of original art works around. The location is great and there’s lots of safe parking on site. The staff are helpful and friendly.

A very nice holiday park situated on the beach, which is easy to reach. The caravan was well-equipped with everything we needed; the bed was comfy, and we could heat it because the nights were a bit cold. We liked going to the swimming pool in the mornings as there was an 'adult period' between 9 and 10 am. The staff were kind and helpful. We will be happy to return if we visit Wales another time.

Llanberis is a great base for exploring Snowdonia, there are plenty of walks straight out of your accommodation, it is also the start of the most straightforward route for climbing Snowdon. The excellent Sherpa bus service runs regularly, which is much more convenient than trying to find a parking space at busy times and in popular destinations. There is quite a lot of work going on in and around Llanberis at the moment, so do check that the attraction you are interested is available when you plan to travel. There are quite a few places to eat in Llanberis, plus a couple of supermarkets. We particularly enjoyed Pete’s Eats, great if you have a huge appetite or fancy a pint mug of tea, but our favourite was Spice of Llanberis. This great Indian restaurant isn’t licensed but you are welcome to take your own alcohol, we found both the meal and the service brilliant.

The best part of Bangor is great connectivity of public transport. You can dive into Snowdonia areas via Sherpa buses, you can get direct trains to London, you can easily goto Holyhead for people travelling to Ireland, it is easier to commute from there. Bangor has a beautiful sea view, and is very clean and scenic area.

Lots of benches around to just sit and stare at the sea, or people watching! It's flat, so that makes it easy for people with dodgy knees, feet or hips. It isn't too busy, but I imagine it would be in high season. Don't expect lots of entertainment, there isn't any which is probably why it was full of 'people of a certain age'! Tywyn beach needs benches putting along its beach, but it was pretty and fairly empty when we went.

Machynlleth, like many other towns up and down the country, has seen better days. It is pleasant but let down by some empty shops. It didn't effect me personally but another family staying in my hotel had problems getting a taxi for their onward journey the following morning, as the local taxi firm was no longer operating!

This hotel is in a very scenic part of Wales.

This hotel is in a very scenic part of Wales. We had no trouble parking our car. We were given a top floor room, which required steep stairs to be negotiated. There was no offer to help with luggage. The room was very cold upon entry, although there were heaters in a cupboard, which did enough to warm the room up. Several items of furniture were in the room, but there was a distinct lack of places to put things - there was no set place to put make-up on, there was no shelf in the bathroom to put toiletries on, there was nowhere to put toiletries in the shower and the mirror over the sink in the shower room was not at a suitable height for a 1.88m male (it was far too low). There was only hand wash gel in the bathroom, there was no shampoo. Sockets were not at a premium either. We chose to have breakfast at the hotel as it wasn't included in the £105/night charge. This cost £10.99 per breakfast, for which we received a cooked breakfast of mediocre size, (which was just hot enough to eat), apple juice, tea and instant coffee. There were no other items offered for the price paid. In summary, we paid close to £127 for one night's stay and breakfast at this hotel, which was well over what it should have been for the quality of the room/facilities/breakfast we received, in comparison to other hotels used on this trip of ours. Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was not good; as such, we will never return to it again.
