Great location . Hotel in need of major upgrade .
Great location . Hotel in need of major upgrade . Not a chance it is 4 star . Felt very misled . Paid a decent price but didn’t feel received anywhere near the standard of a 4 star more like 2 star hotel . Felt sorry for the staff who are being clearly unde managed . One person running the show at breakfast is so poor . Poor housekeeping .. rooms dusty and ill equipped . Seems that part reviews aren’t acted on whatsoever . Such a shame as it could be fabulous with it having a prime location and parking available .Guest review byAnneUnited Kingdom - 8.0

We stayed in Basingstoke town centre. It has a nice shopping centre and a good selection of restaurants all in the same vicinity, plus a large pub. We found the service from the bus station very reliable.Guest review byGinaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

A pleasant small town that seems to offer everything you need, it has plenty of shops and a number of pubs and eateries on the High Street. Frequent trains and buses to Portsmouth and Gosport, and very close anyway to the M27 for those driving.Guest review byOwenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I should have known from the price that it would not be to the standard I expected. The bed was comfortable and the room was a good size but the bathroom was small and a bit dated. Set in extensive grounds. We decided to eat there and were delighted to find that they offered a normal menu as well as an Indian menu. My wife is a vegitarian and likes Indian food but was disappointed in dishes available for her. Her pompadoms were served after her main and she left them. I had a steak but the chips were very over cooked. The waitress gave me a free glass of wine to compensate. Breakfast was not nice. The tables were left uncleared and I had to join a long queue to get a cup of coffee. We would only stay there again if we were desparate.Guest review byGeorgeUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The Aldershot Military Museum is excellent with much information about the area as well as military matters. Also I recommend the FAST Museum, which is full of aeronautical science and aviation history. NB these museums are not open every day.Guest review byCatharineUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I loved my stay at the Alton House Hotel, as I have never been to Alton before the staff were polite friendly and extremely helpful, I also made two new friends whilst I was there which is truly fantastic. I would recommend this hotel to any one that asked as in my eye's there is no better place or people.Guest review byRobb - 10.0
Thank You for a Memorable Stay at Rhinefield Hotel
Thank You for a Memorable Stay at Rhinefield Hotel We wanted to extend our personal heartfelt thanks to the wonderful team for making our recent weekend break at Rhinefield Hotel such a memorable experience. The hotel’s setting is simply fabulous—surrounded by the beauty of the New Forest, it provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing escape. We were thoroughly impressed by the quality and range of the facilities, which exceeded all our expectations and truly enhanced our stay. A special word of appreciation must go to your staff, who were consistently friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. Their warm welcome and attention to detail did not go unnoticed and made us feel completely at home throughout our visit. We would like to give particular thanks to ‘Sarah’?, who headed up the Conservatory Restaurant. Her professionalism and the way she handled all the guests with their food, was exemplary; she ensured every meal was a delight and every guest felt truly valued.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom
