Amazing hotel. The staff is fantastic, Andrew and Ria were just the best! The spa marvelous - best massage I’ve had in my life. I even went 3 times. Breakfast is delicious so is the Chinese restaurant. Pool is great and really loved their amenities at the beach - which is a short drive from the hotel and leaves every hour.

Special mentions to Chef Dedi, Chef Oka and lovely server Esti for taking exceptional care of us at Rocka; manager Tubo for going the extra mile for my wife and I and for gifting the homemade chili ketchup; concierge manager Bayu for always helping us with pretty much everything we needed; chef Ary for his patience and calm during our cooking class; and staff Dekca for always having a smile on his face while driving us around the resort in his buggy. If you ever go to Six Senses Uluwatu, you will be well taken care of by staff who really care and make you feel comfortable and tended to at all times. Bonus if you find the people mentioned above!     We ended up having to get to Bali a couple of days earlier than expected, and booked Sal's. The room was great with a private open shower, and just a few steps to the pool. Sal's is out of the way and quiet, but central (and walking distance) to all the great beaches, restaurants, cafes and shops. The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to assist us whenever they could. We would feel very happy to book Sal's again.

    Uluwatu is an amazing place!

    Uluwatu is an amazing place! We explored the area by motorbike and taxi, spent our days surfing and relaxing on the beaches, and enjoyed the local restaurants. The people are very friendly, and everything has great quality—it was a truly memorable experience.

    Each beach very different,so travelled quite a bit to get to them-lots to see & do away from the beach eg visited the elephant sanctury,released day old turtles on kuta beach.Ubud was a great place to visit-we went to an indonesian dance show at the palace which was amazing,great markets here but be where the traffic here is horrendous!

    Jimbaran is very laid back and traffic is not bad by Bali standards. We thoroughly enjoyed the beach and spent most of our time there. We did have a family dinner on the beach at sunset and that was a great experience. We also had a fantastic dinner at an Indian restaurant near the beach. I can’t wait to visit jimbaran again with my grandson and learn to surf!

    I recommend taking the shortcut on foot from the accommodation – turn left onto the main road, then immediately left again down a narrow alley. This will take you straight to the cafés, restaurants, shops, and spas. Be sure to visit Kelly's Warung at Bingin Beach, try a Pilates class at Fondue Studio, and enjoy dinner at Casa Asia.

    Uluwatu is a great area in general and recently has evolved into quite more of not just a surf point but also a gastronomic and fashion center of Bali's top towns. A great place to come and take a vacation, all of the beaches are great and the great thing is that there's something for everyone.

    Fantastic culture, some great places to go in the middle, and North of the Island. I spent a week in Ubud, then a week on the South coast. I could have spent 2 weeks in Ubud, and based most of my travels from there. Beaches in the South are something else, great surf, etc. Things to note which you may not expect. Traffic is mental. Most roads are bad, poorly surfaced, narrow and congested. Most people get around by scooter, which is fine, but be prepared for the fumes if you're doing more than a pop-to-the-shops on one. And the endless 'sell'. I was taking my own picture at a restaurant and was told I would have to pay for it (Rice Terraces) They aren't all like that, don't get me wrong, but they will push it. Fun can be had with haggling, Rule of thumb, offer half their asking price, then work back from there. Be prepared to be followed down the street if you don't buy it. Food is amazing. Try the local dishes, so much better than the same dishes back home. And why would you fly half way round the world to have fish & chips in a different country? And, getting there. Get your visa before going, they have 40-ish automated passport gates, which you can use if you have a digital passport. Use the Gojek App for taxi, or even food and other things whilst you're there (Like Uber).

    Uluwatu is awesome but very busy now compared to other years. We loved the location of our villa, very central yet so quiet for how busy it is in Padang Padang. Easy to get around. Villa was beautiful we didn't want to leave! Could have done with a tv for quiet night in that's about it. The ladies at the office are lovely but quite pushy with payments when you book things and communication sometimes a bit mixed up. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay :)

    Nusa Dua has many faces and brilliant options!

    Nusa Dua has many faces and brilliant options! It is not just for rich folks. Geger beach is excellent… also for local food. Bali Collection is another gem … like 3 International Airport Terminals but outdoors. Huge! Amazing shops and restaurants all in a pedestrian environment!

    The actual area is busy and noisy, but the seafood cafes on...

    The actual area is busy and noisy, but the seafood cafes on the beach are the real drawcard and should be experienced - with roving minstrels and choosing your own fish. The hotel was directly across one road to the cafes and beach but inside the property it was peaceful.

    Lots of cafes/restaurants in the area plus boutiques.

    Lots of cafes/restaurants in the area plus boutiques. Cashew tree cafe is amazing! Plus Seed cafe which also has a market attached to it. Handy to have a moped to get around but take care if you do.
