Carrick is a very cute sleepy Irish town and this stay just highlighted that in the best way. Situated right next to a stream with a beautiful courtyard that I'm sure is so nice to spend time in during warmer months/days. It was a bit dreary the duration of our stay at this bnb. The breakfast in the morning was delightful and in one of the bottom rooms of the building with the big windows and view of the river. The rooms were clean, sheets were spotless and served us well. We went to Slieve League Cliffs the next day and the sun came out for us and it was delightful!

What a little gem of a place. This is a fantastic hotel, the staff are so courteous and pleasant. We stayed one night, my husband is a wheelchair user . The accessible room is perfect for us. Wheel in shower and lifts to all floors. Food is beautiful, dinner was beautiful, burger fries and honey chilli prawns with rice. Breakfast was very good, gluten free bread and sausages. We love this wee place. Staff wonderful, especially Shane. That guy is so kind and nothing is to much for him.

I asked if they offered any surprise services for newlyweds as a surprise to my wife. I was looking to see if I could buy something from the hotel for them to leave in our room. However, when we arrived, they had left a bottle of sparkling wine and some glasses for us. After about an hour of us being there, we also received a knock at the door where a waiter had brought us a cheesecake to share. It was really lovely and me and my wife were so impressed. We were planning on going into Donegal Town to find somewhere for our evening meal but because of how much we liked our experience, we stayed in the hotel and we both had steak from the bar restaurant. It was incredible. We stayed on for drinks in the bar where there was a singer on called Davy K. He was brilliant too, and apparently he is doing every Monday there over the summer. So I would definitely recommend it.

Donegal is a beautiful county and the people go to great effort to ensure that visitors have a good experience. Unfortunately the inclement weather and constant mist cannot be controlled. This of course might be the attraction for some visitors. Good food available in bars throughout the county.

Bundoran ,being a seaside and holiday destination thrives during the summer. You could meet anyone from anywhere here. But most importantly all are made to feel so welcome by the general community not just the hoteliers and gift shop owners. I accidentally left my rear passenger door actually open all night outside the Bank House and not a thing was touched!!! This coming from someone who has been a victim of a locked car theft in my own driveway in Loughlinstown Co Dublin….

Although only there for a short while Bunbeg has all the ingredients of the mystic west. The sunset was spectacular over the beach. Bád Eddie (Eddies boat) on Bunbeg's Magheraclogher beach, in Gaoth Dobhair (Gweedore) is a must see. The official story is that the boat was stranded on the beach but we heard from a good source that Eddie did it deliberately. He beached the boat in order to fit a new engine but he was going through a divorce and his wife asked for her share of the boat so he never repaired it.
