Enjoyed our stay in Rome except we had a bad experience with the money exchange - Best & Fast Change srl - Via Della Conciliazone, 47 p. Iva. The USD rate they have on their board was 1.237 per Dollar but when they gave us the change was only .63 euros per dollar. They did not tell us exactly first how much the net change before they went ahead to enter into their system. When they gave us the Euros in exchange to our USD, it was so much lower almost half of the exchange rate as they had in their posted rate. We were shocked & told the cashier to return our USD money back but she didn’t like it & we felt scammed. We can’t communicate for we can’t speak Italian. She gave us the run around. Just a matter of few seconds on the transaction, she doesn’t want to return our money especially it was worth $500.00 that we exchanged. We felt bad & No mercy to tourist but took advantage to us! Bad attitude & bad business practice. Misinformed of their exchange rate! Please let your politicians & government know this happening that they should be honest & straight forward to their tourist in your country especially Vatican is there they should be scared doing such an act. That was our bad experience here in Rome.Guest review byEpifaniaUnited States - 10.0

A lovely seaside town. Close to the airport. So many dining options within walking distance to our apartment. We had a delicious meal at Neri on the beach and watched the sunset over the sea. Just beautiful.Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0

There is no easy walking access to the cruise port or terminals, you will have to book a taxi OR take a bus from the train station to the port (40e). It is confusing and not well detailed by the cruise companies - do your research. Taxi from the train station to an apartment is equally a hassle (30e minimum).Guest review byAlanUnited States - 10.0

A bit of a military town (nato and US frigates, etc) but I think Gaeta has something for everyone. Great community, historical sights, and an amazing park with ruins and tunnels. It did cost me 25€ to get to my hotel from the train station, but I was told by locals this was a fair price,Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Beyond gorgeous. It’s a dream vacation spot and easily travelled by electric bike to all the beaches. Mostly Italian tourists which made it seem much more chilled out than other beach spots in Italy. Highly recommendGuest review byKristinaUnited States - 10.0

Ostia is a beautiful city next to the Airport and just a short ride from Rome. I truly love it there, in the last year I visited 3 times and I cant wait to come back. You can visit Ostia antica or Rome or just chill on a beach and swim in the sea with sand beaches.Guest review byMU-CHACzech Republic - 10.0
A lovely mostly little undiscovered medieval town.
A lovely mostly little undiscovered medieval town. It’s only small but very cute with lots of restaurants and an attractive cathedral and papal palace. Easily walkable and not very far from Rome. Mostly quiet except on weekendsGuest review bycatherineAustralia - 10.0
We were in Terracina the last two weeks of June.
We were in Terracina the last two weeks of June. We experienced a local feel with few tourists. the old town is fantastic. We rented electric bikes, which is recommended. Then you can get around easily. A trip up to the temple went like a dream in the heat. We also cycled out to the Cantina Sant'Andrea winery. It took approx. one hour one way. A wonderful trip and a great visit where we tasted many good wines. One should also enter a trip to Ponza. The ferry departs from the city centre. An incredibly cozy island. We chose to rent a boat when we were out there, so that we could take a trip to the outside of the island and swim in the crystal clear water. It was magical! We only took a day trip, but we should have included an overnight stay at Ponza.Guest review byKnut IvarNorway - 10.0

Villa d’Este was amazing and had waterfalls to rival Palace of Versailles. The walk through Villa Gregoriana gardens down the side of the hill to the bottom of the waterfalls was a solid hike and not for the feeble. Definitely take a couple of hours to visit Hadrian’s Villa (aka Villa Adriana) which had amazing historical half crumbling palace and ornamental lake.Guest review bySharee F.Australia - 10.0
Sperlonga is a beautiful town.
Sperlonga is a beautiful town. The only thing really the town suffered from was lack of large food store. There were some small stored but no parking so if you are located away from them, you had a very challenging walk back to apartment.Guest review byBASIreland
