- From $817.80 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 370 reviewsI am a frequent traveler and I usually reside in 3-5 stars' hotels in different parts of the world. By far, Grand Hotel Portovenere gave me the best hotel experience that I ever had throughout more than 25 years of frequent travelling! The staff are our of this world with loads of care and support ! Ariana and Chiara in the reception were exceptional in the kind of support and genuine care that they offered allover our stay :) Anna S. in the restaurant was very careful to make us feel at home in every single meal! Everything about this hotel is exceptional; safety, cleanliness, location, breakfast, very delicious and typically Ligurian dinner, …, etc. I never rated a hotel with 10 (even very luxurious ones) - Yet, I would openly and gladly rate Grand Hotel Portovenere with a 10+Guest review byMohamedEgypt

La Spezia is a great town-lots of great shops, restaurants and bars for aperitivo. Very walkable and people very friendly. Perfect jumping point for access to Cinque Terre. We found it a perfect balance using Cinque Terre card and taking train in daily. More affordable and more active later in the evening so ideal for our trip.Guest review byKossis - 10.0
Monterosso al Mare is kept very clean and we felt safe.
Monterosso al Mare is kept very clean and we felt safe. Nice walking paths and many restaurants and shops to see. Even though it is a beach town, you don't see many children. It's more of a romantic adult getaway spot. Restaurants are small and most seating is on the patio. Many cannot accommodate strollers or parties greater than 4.Guest review byTerryUnited States - 10.0

I really enjoyed the beach at levanto and the night life was exciting, every evening the had organised some kind of a event . The most exciting part was the bicycle ride along the galerie levanto- bonassola. Also the punta della madonna ( chiesetta madonnino della punta ) was reachable with a cycle. Anyone should walk along ( hike) through the sentiero levanto- monterosso.Guest review byRashen IsurangaItaly - 10.0
The best on the Cinque Terre villages in our opinion.
The best on the Cinque Terre villages in our opinion. Plenty of restaurants to choose from or takeways to sit in the harbour and eat plus bars. No cover charges like the other resorts we visited. Great atmosphere. The Cinque Terre is overpriced in general not just for food/drink but also the tourist tax/ train tickets/ walking trails etc. but as long as you know this it is a lovely place so you need to tick the area off your listGuest review byCaroline - 10.0

We loved the quaintness of vernazza. No cars etc around.we had 5nights and wandered to all villages.the little supermarket is very small and hours not the greatest but plenty of places to eat.during day may be busy but morning and late afternoons were fabulous.there were free concerts on too in the square which were delightful.cann enjoy takeaways on the rocks with beautiful viewsGuest review byCatherineNew Zealand - 8.0

Portovenere is a perfect place to stay, if looking for a quieter place but similar scenery to Cinque Terre. Lots of things to do from hiking, boat trips to other resorts and well connected to La Spezia by local bus.Guest review byJeanUnited Kingdom - 10.0
3 nights was enough to see Manarola a lot.
3 nights was enough to see Manarola a lot. We swam, had dinner nightly, met the locals in the wine bar just above the church and visited 2 other towns. Our hotel room was at the very top of the town, and then up 3 flights of stairs. It was a very steep hill. Be sure you know where your hotel is, it's a very vertical town.Guest review byBretUnited States - 10.0
