One of the most value-for-money places I stayed in during my travels in Japan. Exceptional views from just outside the building of Gifu mountains, and the rooms themselves are very well-equiped and comfy, considering the price! Also, the staff went above and beyond to make sure I could check-in without a physical passport (as I didn't have it at the time), and helped me check-in just with a picture I had of it.

Hotel is in a strategic position to travel around Gifu prefecture. It is near the bus station and the train station. A little bit far from city center but easy to be reached by bus. In 3 minutes by walk you can find a long street full of typical restaurants and street food vendors. Room is clean, a Lil bit classic but functional. Staff is always kind and gentle. Breakfast is so rich and so good.

Lovely host!! Super friendly and helpful. I'm really disappointed I only booked one night and couldn't stay more time in Gifu.. she came to pick me up from the train station and took me to a cafe and after to watch a special event by the river. For breakfast she made so much food that I couldn't eat until dinner! :) my 'Japanese grandmother' is the best!

A convenient stay for a transit visit in Gifu, with plentiful parking places for travellers. The rooms were comfortable and well-ventilated (air conditioning and heating), and there was an excellent buffet breakfast served from 6.30-9am. Would highly consider returning to Hotel Route-Inn and the other hotels in this chain around Japan!

The breakfast spread is very good for the price. The breakfast room is also roomy compared to other business hotels. The cost of accommodation is very cheap considering the location. JR line users have to walk 10-11 minutes from the station but the hotel is just 5 minutes walk from the Meitetsu Gifu station.

- It's conveniently near the Gifu subway/JR Station. Convenience store, restaurants and supermarkets are within a 5-10mins walk from the hotel. - Bus station is just across the road street. - The hotel provides basic amenities. - the elevator is at the side/ parking area of the bldg

The APA Hotel Gifu Hashima Ekimae, another good quality Hotel, easy parking, busy area, very helpful staff, fast check-in, high standard rooms, clean and comfortable, suitable for everyone, I would certainly stay here again when visiting this area of Japan.

Locations is great have connecting door to family mart, while Mc Donalds and many other restaurant are only few steps away. Gifu station also close and you can see the station from outside of hotel.

It is a comfortable basic hotel with a fantastic location as it is right across from JR and Meitetsu stations and right next to the main nightlife (restaurants / bars) of Gifu City.

Very confortable hotel with large rooms and a good equipment level. Great location with easy access to Gifu shopping streets, very well prices for the quality.

Traditional guesthouse close to the majority of Gifu’s best attractions, host is amazing and helpful in every way possible, even with my poor Japanese skills

I liked a lot the location, very close to the station so easy to move to cities around like Gifu.

Hirayu Onsen is really a very small and sleepy town that connects you well to kamikochi. it was really easy to get to this hotel from the bus terminal. the hotel staff will pick you up with your luggage. if not, walking should take you 5 mins. as an onsen, you don't wear your shoes inside. the whole complex is quiet clean and peaceful. the room is large, spacious and very comfortable. I hardly wanted to leave it. Best thing I did was to order: half board. and I would highly recommend you do the same. breakfast and dinner were spectacular. as a kaiseki meal, the thought and effort the chef puts into designing the menu every day is so delicate, thoughtful. I stayed for 3 days and my meals were never repeated. if you have never tried kaiseki before, this is one of the best places to start. the chef would prepare local hida beef, local vegetables and pickles in hida style (both boiled and grilled) for you to choose from. meals start very promptly so you can expect service to be impeccable. everything was a delight! (special mention goes to the staff who served me every day: Mr Jinyu Tsujino, who was friendly, helpful and provided great service) the view while you have dinner is amazing too. the spring bath in the room was very comfortable too. it was perfect for after a long day of hiking at kamikochi. they have an open air onsen for you to book for private use. free flow coffee, milk, yakult and ice pound cakes were also available on the compound. I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 days there. if you are planning on visiting kamikochi and can afford some time, I would highly recommend staying here for a peaceful and rejuvenating recharging time.

room with their bed arangement service was amazing. Every day at 19:00 2 women would come to arrange our beds. Onsen is spectacular! There are 2 onsens on 2 floors with indoor and outdoor hot pools. One of them had carbonated water! Amazing. We skipped breakfast

Nice, clean hotel with excellent location, really convenient. Room was cleaned every day, and it was quiet.

The amount of facilities was overwhelming and the service couldn’t be better our host helped us with the suitcase to our room. The dinner and breakfast was outstanding and everything was perfect to the very minor details.
